It's my Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me... You get the message. It's 8:30 a.m. as I type this, I have talked to Mr. Wonderful (Tommy), my mom, my daughter Jen and granddaughter Cadence. My good friend Beve has already called and sang to me a different version of Happy Birthday. Thanks Beve. Even my son-in-law Andrew called on his way to work to tell me Hppy Birthday. My darling husband i.e. Mr. Wonderful, Tommy, Tombo, presented me with my very own Dell Laptop! I am so excited. I have been wanting my own laptop for a while. I've only been up a couple of hours, can't wait to see what happens the rest of the day. I'll be back with pictures as soon as I get dressed. Oh yeah, today is also Angie Varner's, the wonderful and beautiful lady that cuts my hair, birthday. This is the card I made for her. Also, Danny Loftin of FatBoys BBQ has a birthday today, so we are eating his delicious Boston butt BBQ for dinner tonight. This card uses the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes with Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstock, the scallop border punch, pink organdy ribbon and crystal effects for the cherries.

In just a few hours.....

It's really true! In just a few hours, I'll be 50 years old. I really can't believe it. I remember when 50 seemed really old. Well, let me tell you, it's not! I'm not old. This evening has been wonderful. My birthday eve, Tommy gave me a spa pedicure and manicure, then we went to the hair salon and had my eyebrows and lip done. Next, we went to Belk's and bought me some new clothes. I'm sitting at the table stamping and he, Mr. Wonderful, walks in with 50 beautiful red roses. They are gorgeous. I have pictures. I'll let you know what tomorrow brings! I can't wait. p.s. the Tommy gave me ...part meant he bought it, not he did it. Just wanted to clarify that for you.

Yikes! It's 44 days til Christmas!

I am so far behind already. I really can't start getting ready for Christmas until after my birthday. But as I see the days counting off, I get nervous. I love Christmas! I love baking, decorating, making Christmas cards, shopping, shopping and shopping. I have several great Christmas cards to share. The problem is getting them scanned into my computer were they look good. Here is one I made for a Christmas card swap. I think I will use it for some of my cards this year. The base is Night of Navy, my favorite Christmas card color, with Kraft and Bashful Blue. The background is done with Versamark and the star is embossed with silver embossing powder. The silver cording is out of the Christmas Mini catolog. The stamp set is called "Season of Simple Grace" I just love the name of that set. It's a great Christmas set. As we prepare for this holiday season, let me know if I can help with your stamping needs. Let me know if you are interested in a Christmas Card stamp camp or gift camp. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Be Blessed.
