I am so sorry, I promised y'all pictures 10 days ago! It has been a crazy week! One of my dear friends had a heart attack and I have been trying to visit her in ICU everyday! Please pray for her as she has a long road to recovery. But, I know the Great Physician and nothing is out of His power or control! Here is a picture of the kit, I honestly haven't had time to get it together. But hopefully by this weekend!

Paper Pumpkin!
My Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived in the mail this week. Cute!!!!!! Can't wait to get started on it.The kit includes everything you need for a nice 30 minute crafting retreat! Septembers kit is darling Halloween favors. The stamp set has 15!!! mini stamps to use on tags and they also make great background stamps. The ink spot is Canjun Craze a great fall color. Pictures tomorrow I promise!
Also, Stampin Up has just announced October's Paper Pumpkin is all about Breast cancer awareness. Of course, we have no idea what the projects will be, but the box will be pink! Melon Mambo I'm guessing! The best part of that is Stampin' UP will donated 1 dollar for every new subscription received before October 10th! and another dollar for all the existing active subscriptions. Woo HOO! This is a win win people! Unlike yesterday's football games yesterday!(eeK- that made this Dixieland girl sick!)
Well, it's Sunday and that means church for me and then I have a bridal shower and wedding to attend. (not for the same couple) busy day! Have a blessed day and go bless someone else and you will be truly blessed!

Hey Y'all!
Fall is finally peeking it's head around the corner in Dixieland. It was the nicest day today. Cool breeze, sunshine and very little humidity! Unusual for this part of the country. this past week we attended The Alabama Shakespeare's Annual Broadway under the Stars. It came a gully washer earlier in the day and we thought the show was going to be cancelled! I was worried. I spent the whole day baking dessert for the 20 plus friends attending with us. And that's what I want to share with you today! I made 24 Coconut Cream pies in mason jars. They were so cute, not to mention delish!!!! Here is the finished product.
I love Coconut cream pie and have used a recipe out of the 1954 Modern Encyclopedia of Cooking for years. It was one of my mom's first cookbooks she bought, I think, during her Senior year as a Home Ec. major at the University of Southwest Louisiana. I read several blog post about doing pies in jars before I tried it. It worked wonderfully! I cut the crust with the mouth of the jar and used my trusty Pampered Chef mini tart shaper to tap it into place.
My oven is small! So, my jelly roll pan actually will slide in the grooves like a shelf! I placed the jars on the pan and baked, removed them and let them cool while I made the cream filling. Worked great! Tip- crust needs to be thin!
After I filled them and let them cool for a couple hours, probably should have been longer but I was out of time, I added a dollop of meringue and sprinkled coconut on top, popped them back in the a hot oven just long enough to brown the coconut and meringue. Added lids to some and used cupcake liners to cover some with the jar rings and off to Shakespeare we went! They seemed to be a hit! Will have to try that one again. Better go clean the kitchen now. Thanks for stopping by. Be Blessed and bless someone else today!

Starting over again!
It's a new Stampin' Up year and I'm starting over again. I wish I had a nickel for every time I have started over at something. I'd be a very wealthy woman! Ok maybe not wealthy, but I'd have a bigger craft room!!!
So, I ask myself the age old question, Why? Why do I start and not keep going, why do I keep coming back and trying again, why is my mind full of ideas that I never get around to actually doing? Is it lack of motivation? Maybe at times. Is it laziness? Yeah, that could be part of it. Turn on the Hallmark movie and mystery channel and I can do some serious vegging on the couch with a big cup of Sonic ice and Crystal Light Peach Tea!
However, I think I have identified 2 of the main reasons at least concerning blogging that keep getting me off tract. The main one and probably most important is an unclear vision of just what I want to do here; the other one is not knowing for sure I am actually connecting with anyone. Is anyone "listening"?
I think I have pinpointed my vision. On my Pinterest page there is a short quote about me that says,
The second area I will need your help. If you are stopping by, please let me know, if you like something I have shared give me a thumbs up. I'll share more on that later- this post is getting to long! I pray you get some encouragement, some creative ideas or even a good laugh out of what you see here. God bless y'all! Now, go be a blessing to someone else today and you will be truly blessed.
