Thankfully reaching for the stars

Good morning friends!
I pray you are having a blessed day and know the Lord is with you. I am trying to finish up my To Do list before leaving for my first trip to NEW YORK CITY! I am so excited. I will be gone for the next two weeks. I am thankful for my friend, Jewel, who is staying at our house and caring for the dog and cat. I am thankful for this opportunity to travel with dear friends and make good memories. I have much to be thankful for this year. I am very thankful for all my customers and appreciate your support more than you know.
I set a very high goal for myself this year and I am close to reaching it, but I could use a little help to finish off this stampin year. So to thank you for helping me reach my goal I am offering a 20% off discount to all orders placed this week Sept.19-25. This is not eligible on hostess club orders nor will these orders count toward your customer appreciation cards. Orders can be sent to me by email and paid for with paypal or placed online and I will send you a refund check. I really appreciate your help in reaching my goal!
I do have another Drapery Fold card to share today. I was thanking of a fall theme card for my hostess clubs. We have already done Halloween so I went for just general color them. It turned out great and I love the Copper! There's that Swirly Scribbles again. I used Paisleys and Petals DSP. Love it! Do you notice the little copper piece on the inside? It's the leftover piece from the center of the swirl on the leaves. Don't waste a bit of that beautiful copper paper! Well, it's time to go. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your encouragement and support. I finally truly blessed.

Back to School

Welcome to the Back to School Fall Stampin Friends Blog Hop! So glad you could join us this week. If you came from Kristeen Gill's blog thank-you for continuing. Isn't she amazing? I am still pinching myself that I am getting to do this every month as a "regular'! But very thankful! We have three very talented bloggers joining us this month as guest hoppers.
If you haven't already visited their blogs be sure to click on the link here to see what awesome projects they have to share.
I still love it when all the stores start filling the shelves with school supplies. My youngest is 26 and has been out of school for some time, fortunately I have grandkids- 2 4th graders and a kinderbaby! He wouldn't like that! I love new notebooks , pencils and pens! Oh, and file folders!!! Be still my heart. Isn't that silly, but it's true! So my non-card project this month is a covered composition notebook! I have really had a good time playing with this idea. It is a work in progress and will continue for a while. I have come a little late to the party for Bullet journaling. I'm hooked. But wanted to do my own creating and use what I already have.
Ta Da! Here is a picture of my new Bullet journal notebook . At least an inexpensive version. I used a 50 cent composition book and covered it with DSP. Here I used Dapper Denim because what says Back to school more than a new pair of jeans? The monogram is so popular I wanted to use it for the front of my Bullet journal. Added a couple of matching enamel shapes to embellish it just a little. The inside is personalized with Washi Tape and stamps. This is definitely an work in process. Did you notice the little tabs sticking out of the top?

These were created with washi tape or DSP over heavy white cardstock and the Project life Paperclip thinlets. Love these! I confess I have had this set for a while and really hadn't used them much. That will be changing!!!The large triangle bookmark is cut from the corner of an envelope and covered in Washi tape!  It can mark one page or a section of pages.

My card project is a set of 3 x 3 cards I call lunch box notes. My grands spend at least one night a week with me, so I get to pack their lunches and backpacks for the next day. I love sticking these little notes in their lunch box or snack pouches almost as much as they love getting them. Cooper who is in Kindergarten is often holding his in his hand when I pick him up. Yes, it makes a grand-mom happy.

That's it for my show and tell today. I really hope you enjoyed these ideas and find something to inspire you to create. Thank you following the Stampin Friends Blog Hop. Head over to Andrea Tracy-Tucker's Blog to see what good stuff she has posted.

I'm so ready!

I am so ready for FALL! Don't get me wrong I love summer but after what seems like months of heat index over 100, I'm ready for some cooler weather, fewer bugs, football season and maybe a fire in the chiminea with the Grands roosting marshmallows and eating s'mores.  We ran up to DC over Labor Day to visit my brother and his wife, the weather was so pleasant you felt like doing something outside besides jumping in the pool. I'm ready for the Pumpkin Patch!
This is Gordon and moi! He will be 58 this weekend. He is older than me!!! (Truthfully by only a couple months!) He is an amazing man! Happy birthday and we love you!
The card I'm sharing is one I created for my hostess clubs. It is a drapery fold or curtain fold card. There are a ton of these floating around in cyberspace. This one uses a piece of  DSP that is only 6 x 3 inches. I love that because I can get 8 out of 1 sheet of 12 x 12 DSP. This gorgeous paper is in the Holiday catalog, it's called Petals and Paisleys. Beautiful paper! I adore this little scarecrow and crow. He was stamped in black Stazon and colored with a blender pen and markers. The ribbon used here is yummy Delightful Dijon! It is in the holiday catalog as well in a trio pack. Love, love, love ribbon!!!!!
Well, that's about it for today. Thanks for stopping by. If I can help you with something please contact me. If you'd like to order any of these products, go to my online store here. I'd love to know you were here so please leave me a comment . Thanks. Have a blessed day and  experience true blessings by being a blessing to someone else.
