Trick or Treat

Good morning friends,
It is a beautiful "Fall" morning in Dixieland. Actually, we are getting some really nice, cool temps this am. I have a cute Halloween Treat to share with y'all today. One of my hostess clubs made these this month, they are really simple and cute!

Materials: Chalk Talk Bread Tag framelit, Owl punch, Hexagon punch, Basic Black 1\8 inch ribbon and White Baker's Twine.
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, and  Tangerine Tango
Ink: Basic Black and  Tangerine Tango
Stamp sets: Halloween Hello and Perfectly You Hostess set (131877)
Directions: I cut the tag with the Big Shot, Stamped it with the Bat from Halloween Hello in Basic Black.
The ghost is made by punching out a white owl with the owl builder punch and trimming off the feet.
Use the middle size circles for eyes and the heart for the mouth out of black. The ghost is popped up on a dimensional  and attached to the bread tag. The Hey Pumpkin is stamped with Tangerine Tango on a scrape of Whisper White  and punched out with the hexagon punch. It is adhered with snail adhesive at the bottom of the tag. The cello bag has 2 graham crackers, 2 chocolate nuggets and a Peep ghost. This is tied with the 1\8 inch Basic Black ribbon and White Bakers Twine.

Hope you like this and it inspires you to create a cute Halloween project. Have a blessed day, Thank you for stopping by, I always look forward to your comments- so leave me one!!!Thanks- God Bless you real good.

Here comes another one, just like the other one....Strut Miss Susie...

Do any of you remember that song or games? We played it at school and Girl Scouts back in the dark ages! What you ask does this have to do with my blog post today? Absolutely nothing!!!! Just one of those random memories that come racing back at times. I was pondering a title for this post and kept thinking-another pink card, when all of a sudden I was singing Strut Miss Susie! So, there you go!
Now, on to the business at hand. Yes, another PINK card for the LINK UP for PINK challenge. This one I literally used scraps on my desk from the previous cards I made this month. (That's were the here comes another one...came from)
This picture is not great and I don't know why. The strips were created with the Melon Mambo design washi tape from the Gingham Garden package. The ribbon is also Melon Mambo 1/8 inch striped ribbon with a black brad at the center of the bow. Butterflies and flowers what could be more girly than that. The framelit is labels and the flower from Flower Shop stamp set. Hope you like it.
On another note, until the 21st of Oct. You can join Stampin' Up for only 25.00. If you are interested in ordering your supplies at a discount or building your own business please contact me and let me show you the ropes! I'd love to have you on my team! Thanks for stopping by, God bless you, now go bless those around you and you will be truly blessed.

Having a good time

Hey girls,
I have been having such a good time in my craft room this week, it's unbelievable! Lately, I realized I have been working in here only to get ready for hostess clubs, craft fairs or something pressing. Well, this last week I have just been playing and enjoying stamping and I remembered how much I really love to stamp! It has been relaxing and reinvigorating! The card I am sharing with you today my Stampin' Sistas hostess club did this month. It is also a LINK up for Pink card. So can you guess what color it is? Yep! PINK. Specifically, Strawberry Slush and Pink Pirouette with a little Primrose Petal thrown in and I love it! It's a great girl card without being "too girly". Let me know what you think. I alway enjoy your comments. Stamp sets are Simply Stars and Bootiful Occasions. God bless and have a great day.

Challenges, challenges, challenges

I have discovered I kinda like a challenge! Maybe that's why I'm addicted to Candy Crush on facebook these days! A challenge gets my mind thinking and my creative juices flowing. It's the best way to find my MOJO after a dry spell, so lately I have been doing a stamping challenge  almost everyday and have really enjoyed it. Today I have one for Pals Paper Arts, it is color challenge 174. Hope you love this card, I used the       masking tape technique and also colored the ribbon Very Vanilla seam binding  with Pumpkin Pie ink. Stamp set is Blooming with Kindness, great set, I  stamped the flower image in Early Espresso. Thanks for stopping by, Blessings.

Project 3- Celebrate You!

Project number 3! I had a goal of doing a project for everyday of the Link up for Pink challenge, However, I discovered I can't keep up with that pace. So, day 5 and I'm posting project 3. Really, this is not bad for me, who has trouble posting more than once a month! I Love this card. It also showcases Stampin' Up's  new envelope punch board (#133774).The envelope punch board not only makes 66 different size envelopes, but you can also make a lot of other really cool projects with it. Today's project is a file folder card. It's also a pocket card. It was a lot of fun to create. The pocket holders two cute tags with sentiments.

Card stock is Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White. I used the Flower Shop Bundle,
(stamp set and punch #132726 for the clear mount). The word set is a great set called Fabulous Phrases(#120501). This card used lots of embellishments, we have punches, dimensionals, rhinestones, washi tape( #129314),Hung up cute clips (#129389). Product Review

Hello fellow stampers and crafters,
#132154 21.95
I have decided to do a  product review each week on Friday. Today I'd like to tell you about the new Chevron punch! I really like this  tool. It is much larger than I had imagined it would be, and oh so many possibilities! I punched a border for a card, a scrapbook page, and then used the little chevron pieces to make other designs. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of the size and some designs I played with.
Still working on getting pictures to do what I want them to on here! Well, I'm loving this new punch. Click here to visit my online store and get one for yourself. Have a great day!check out my pinterest board to get more ideas.

Baking and the Bigshot!

How is that title for an attention grabber? Today I decided to try something I read about on a demo site called Sudsol. It is a great site for information and new ideas. Anyway, we were talking about how to get the warp out of our clear Big shot plates. Someone suggested baking them! Hummm? Clear plastic plates in a medium oven- not so sure, but worth a try. I have 3 sets of these including my very first set I purchased. So, I figured I had nothing to lose if it doesn't work - I have messed up some really old plates that aren't very useful. Here is what I did! This is what my plate looked like at the beginning. I wrapped in in foil, placed it between two baking stones and added another heavy stone on top.

Turned the oven on 325 degrees and baked for 25 minutes. Took it out, unwrapped it and put it on the table with a heavy book on top until it cooled down. there was actually a little brown flaky material on top that I just brushed off. Can you see the difference in the picture? It doesn't look a lot better, but it is flat again!!!! And a good bit of the cutting lines are gone.Definitely worth a try. Well, gotta run. Be blessed and be a blessing to someone else.     Happy stamping!

Good Ole Summertime

What happened to the "good ole summer time"? There is just no such thing as down time these days! It seems we are always running to and fro, never enough time to do all the things on our to do list. I am so guilty of this attitude, trying to fit in all the things I must do with all the things I really want to do and the few things I really need to do! These can all be different activities. What's the daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, friend and business owner to do when stressed and needing a quick break? Well, I have a suggestion! Create something special! I run in my craft room, grab my paper pumpkin box and in 20-30 minutes have made several cards or a cute birthday banner or small brag book. Just that little break and time to be relax and be creative can renew my energy and get me back on track. So What is MY Paper Pumpkin?, you ask. It is Stampin' Up's new monthly creative escape! Visit www.mypaperpumpkin.com  see pictures  and sign up for a trial kit or for the next 2 months get the regular kit for only 10.00! After that the price will be 19.95 and that includes shipping. One more thing, when you sign up I'd really appreciate it if you name me, Cindy Waldroff, as your demo. Thanks. Have a blessed day and ago be a blessing to someone else!

Instructions for the Patriotic card

I appreciate all the kind comments about this card this week. I am going to try to show how you can create it. This is my first attempt at a tutorial on here so, I hope it works!!!!! Here is the finished card.
The Cardbase is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 Crumb Cake. The other pieces are Natural White 5 1/4 x 5 1/4, 4 3/4 x 4 3/4, and 2 1/2 x 5 1/4. You also need a scrap of Natural White for the scallop punch in the center and scraps of torn Cherry Cobbler for the strips. Finally, a piece  2 1/2 by 2 3/4 of Night of Navy finishes the flag. All the stamping is done in Night of Navy. The star stamp is from Pennant Parade and the Trust God saying from Trust God stamp set.

First, randomly stamp all the large pieces with the star stamp in Night of Navy. Adhere the 5 1/4 square inside the card. Add a piece of Night of Navy stitched ribbon to the front of the 2 1/2 x 5 1/4" piece and tie a faux bow or knot.

Glue torn strips of Cherry Cobbler to 4 1/2" square.

Add small Night of Navy piece to upper left corner. Lay this piece right side down on 4 1/2 scallop circle Bigz die and run through the Big Shot. Next place the cut piece in the square lattice folder with the front away from the Sissix label.
Apply Stazon On Whaite Ink to Night of Navy embossed piece to look like stars. the finally step is to stamp the saying and punch it out with the 2 3/8 scallop punch. dust around the punch with Night of Navy ink and glue to the center of scallop flag. adhere to front of card and you are finished!!!!!

Hope y'all enjoyed this tutorial and you are able to create this card for yourself. Please let me know if you have any questions. Stamping products can be ordered directly from my website at  Cindy Waldroff
Thank you for all your support and allowing me to serve you.  God bless our great country, join me in praying for our Nation to back to God Almighty! Now, go be a blessing to someone else and You will be blessed.

All Dressed Up!

Hey Y'all! Happy Tuesday. I have a really neat  bundle to share with you today. I grew up in the home of an amazing seamstress! My mom could go to the store, look at a dress, come home and make it over night. Sometimes she "cased" it and sometimes she made it better. Best of all , she made it fit me!!! This was not always easy. So, when I saw this bundle in the New Spring Mini I knew I had to have it. I used the Stamp set All Dressed Up ( #129174 clear mount) for this card. I also used the framelit dies called Dressed up (#130101). You can save 15% by ordering these two as a bundle (# 131095) clear mount $34.95.
There is also a cardbase and Pop up die for this set!!!!!!

Cardstock: Basic Black, Primrose Petal and Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon and Primrose Petal
Bigshot: Polka dot embossing folder, large scallop circle and Dress Up
framelits.
Small flower punch from Itty Bitty Shapes and a rhinestone

Well, gotta run. Be Blessed today and more importantly bless someone else, for then you will be truly blessed!

Happy New Year!!!!!

My first post of 2013!!! I am excited for this year at Stamping In Dixie. God has really blessed me this past year and I am very thankful and looking forward to a great 2013!!!!Can you believe it is 2013??? It seems like just a week ago we were wondering what would happen when 2000 rolled in! Wow, 13 years have flown by so quickly- my kids are grown and on their own, I have grandchildren and continue now for 6 years to have a great business I love!!! I have set some goals again this year, one being to be more consistent in blogging! I know I said that last year, but I really aim to try again. It will really help me to get feedback from y'all. So, if you are stopping by leave me a comment now and again and let me know you were here. Thanks.
I  have a quick project to share. I held a Calendar class last week to get the New Year started off. Here is one of the projects we made. It is a simple inexpensive vinyl covered calendar. We used Designer Series Paper to cover it and stamped a very appropriate saying for the front. I also added a ribbon bookmark to help find your page easily. Seriously,  cute and quick. My favorite kind of project! So, hope you enjoyed this one and I plan to be back again this week. Take care, God bless and go be a blessing to someone else and you will be truly blessed.
