Merry Christmas

2 days, Just 2 days til Christmas! I'm not ready. I still have cards to make and cookies to bake, oh and presents to wrap! Did I till yall -I love Christmas! Tonight, Tommy and I made Icebox fruitcake. It's great. This recipe is from my mother-in-law, Tommy makes it every year. It's not your traditional fruitcake. The only fruit in it is raisins. I think it's neat that he makes it every year. I also made a candy I kinda invented. I melt white chocolate chips with vanilla almond bark in the microwave. Then I add crushed pretzels and dried cranberries. Drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper and let dry. They are a great blend of sweet and salty. Well, it is very late or should I say early and I hope to get to bed soon. I'd like to share with you a sweet and simply card I made recently. I hope you like it. I used pacific blue and whisper white cardstock, pacific blue ink and the flower out of baroque motif for the background. The Baby Jesus out of Deer friends was the focal point.

9 days til Christmas!

It's 9 days til Christmas Day. I am acting like I have another month. I have totally failed to follow the Organized Christmas plan this year! I haven't finished my Christmas cards, I haven't wrapped to many gifts, I haven't totally finished shopping. I am not stressing though. I am enjoying each experience. Last night we attended the Christmas music at my mom's church. It was very good. It was really nice to have our oldest son, Josh, there. Jen and Andrew were also there with Cadie. Lee had to work, so did not make it. On Sunday night we were at our church, Frazer, the musical program and drama were great. We felt very blessed and truly ready to celebrate the Christmas season.
Here are some tags I made using the Deer Friends set. I have really enjoyed that set this year. It will be retiring after the 18 of January, so if you like it give me a call or drop me an email and I'll tell you how you can get it. I apologize the "be merry" stamp is already retired. I am organizing hostess clubs for 2009 so let me know if you are interested in signing up. By the way, yesterday was my good friend, Kelley and Alice's birthday. Happy Birthday to both of you. Alice your card is in the mail. Good night. Be a blessing to someone today.

Finally,Time for Show and Tell

Hello everybody, I hope you are all having a great holiday season and trying to keep things in "Proper Perspective". Let Jesus be the reason for the season. I am enjoying this month. We have a few decorations up, not many, Miss Cadence Mari is the reason for that! The outside lights are up and my favorite remote control lighted tree. No ornaments. We are taking a few days to just get use to a tree in the living room. She has only tried to climb it once. Have I mentioned Miss Cadie is a climber. Takes after her Aunt Lee-Lee. Saturday, I was blessed to get together with my dearest friends, sisters in Christ, and cheap therapist to bake. And bake we did. We made chocolate peanut clusters, peanut butter cups, lemon squares, sugar cookies, sand tarts, more peanut butter cups, and divinity. It was a great day. I am blessed by these wonderful ladies. Carol, our chief organizer, was unable to be there. She gave each of us a note to open together- We are the proud "donaters" of a goat! We were all tickled, Carol purchased a goat through World Vision in honor of our little group. Hopefully next year we can add another farm animal. Lee-lee,our 18 year old daughter spent today volunteering at the Operation Shoebox Warehouse in Atlanta, Ga. She arrived home this evening, very tired but blessed to have had this opportunity to serve. She hopes to begin serving our country next year in the U.S. Coast Guard! Okay, thanks for tolerating my family news. I have some projects to share. This is a gift set I made for my friend,Carol. I made the 2A box from DSP with a chocolate chip bottom. The cards were made from the same DSP "Holiday Treasures". I really like this paper. I also used Riding Hood Red Old Olive, and Baja Blue. Let me know what you think. More later. "As you go by, as you go, share the love of Him who loves you so."

Christmas is coming!

I love Christmas. I love to decorate the house, bake, bake, bake, and stamp, stamp stamp! I love to hunt for the right present for everyone. I enjoy wrapping the gifts and making tags that are special for everyone. The big problem is always TIME. I never have enough time to do all the things I want to do. Don't even think about the things that I need to do, i.e. ironing, cleaning, balancing the checkbook. Oh well, January is coming also and there will be time to do the mundane stuff. We are having a musical Christmas this year. Last night started the season with our oldest Granddaughter's Church Christmas Music program. This week my step dad will sing in the Community Chorus concert. Sunday is our church's Christmas program " A Christmas Tale" and Monday evening we will attend, with my Mother and her husband, the musical at their church. I love the music of Christmas. What a wonderful time of the year to encourage everyone. I have done some really neat stamping projects and well do my best to get them photoed, and on the site by tonight. It just takes some time. The card I am posting today was one I made at a shoebox swap for demos. I don't know who brought this card. Sorry ladies I didn't have it written down ( you know after that last birthday, the memory is gone) . The card is simple and really cute. Let me know if you need some directions or supplies. More Later.

It's my Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me... You get the message. It's 8:30 a.m. as I type this, I have talked to Mr. Wonderful (Tommy), my mom, my daughter Jen and granddaughter Cadence. My good friend Beve has already called and sang to me a different version of Happy Birthday. Thanks Beve. Even my son-in-law Andrew called on his way to work to tell me Hppy Birthday. My darling husband i.e. Mr. Wonderful, Tommy, Tombo, presented me with my very own Dell Laptop! I am so excited. I have been wanting my own laptop for a while. I've only been up a couple of hours, can't wait to see what happens the rest of the day. I'll be back with pictures as soon as I get dressed. Oh yeah, today is also Angie Varner's, the wonderful and beautiful lady that cuts my hair, birthday. This is the card I made for her. Also, Danny Loftin of FatBoys BBQ has a birthday today, so we are eating his delicious Boston butt BBQ for dinner tonight. This card uses the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes with Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstock, the scallop border punch, pink organdy ribbon and crystal effects for the cherries.

In just a few hours.....

It's really true! In just a few hours, I'll be 50 years old. I really can't believe it. I remember when 50 seemed really old. Well, let me tell you, it's not! I'm not old. This evening has been wonderful. My birthday eve, Tommy gave me a spa pedicure and manicure, then we went to the hair salon and had my eyebrows and lip done. Next, we went to Belk's and bought me some new clothes. I'm sitting at the table stamping and he, Mr. Wonderful, walks in with 50 beautiful red roses. They are gorgeous. I have pictures. I'll let you know what tomorrow brings! I can't wait. p.s. the Tommy gave me ...part meant he bought it, not he did it. Just wanted to clarify that for you.

Yikes! It's 44 days til Christmas!

I am so far behind already. I really can't start getting ready for Christmas until after my birthday. But as I see the days counting off, I get nervous. I love Christmas! I love baking, decorating, making Christmas cards, shopping, shopping and shopping. I have several great Christmas cards to share. The problem is getting them scanned into my computer were they look good. Here is one I made for a Christmas card swap. I think I will use it for some of my cards this year. The base is Night of Navy, my favorite Christmas card color, with Kraft and Bashful Blue. The background is done with Versamark and the star is embossed with silver embossing powder. The silver cording is out of the Christmas Mini catolog. The stamp set is called "Season of Simple Grace" I just love the name of that set. It's a great Christmas set. As we prepare for this holiday season, let me know if I can help with your stamping needs. Let me know if you are interested in a Christmas Card stamp camp or gift camp. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Be Blessed.

More pictures

I am still learning this blogging thing and I do not have it down yet! Here are some pictures that were suppose to be on the last post. Also big news!! My good friend, Carol, just called and she is a Granna again. John Gideon was born this morning weighing in at 8lbs. 9ozs. and 21 inches long and all are doing great! Congratulations Kristen and Scott.

It's Monday!

For some unknown reason, I can not find the time to post anything until Monday morning. Go figure that one. We had a busy weekend, attended a beautiful wedding of the daughter of our friends Bobbie and Dan Cooper. It was unreal. Just the sweetest testimony of God's love. We also had some granddaughter time with Kelli and Cadie. I even squeezed in some stamping for my Mother and my daughter, Jennifer. Today is her and Andrew's 2nd wedding anniversary. On to business. Here are some of the pictures of the craft fair I did last weekend. Some of the materials I used are retired, so I am not listing all those items. The cute little pumpkin on the pumpkin Poop is from the Batty for You stamp set, as is the bat, spider, and ghost on the bookmarks. It was fun and I really enjoyed meeting some new friends and hopefully future stamping buddies. Well, I have a whole long list of things to do today, so yall have a great day and be blessed.

So far Behind....

Hey ladies, I am so far behind...I'm not sure if I'm coming or going. I did the craft fair over the weekend. It was fun. I was working like a mad women to get enough stuff to sale. I have pictures, but need to get them upload so I can share them. I also have some really great Christmas card ideas from a swap I participated in with my stamping family I'd like to share with you. I'm taking a blogging class, so i need to do my homework for that. Hopefully you will be able to tell if I have learned anything!!!LOL!!!So, please don't give up on me. Hopefully I'll have something up for you to see real soon. Check back soon. Be a blessing to others and you will be blessed.

Monday, Monday

What can I say, it was a typical Monday! I did get a card made and even gave it to my mother's friend. However, I forgot to take a picture of it! The babies were into everything today. I took Cadie off the kitchen table 8 times. She is a really great climber for 17 months. I cooked a really good dinner and Tombo was late getting home, so we had 15 minutes to eat together before I had to drive Momma over to her friend's house to see a photo album. Okay enough family drama. I signed up for a craft fair today. I am really excited! It will be my first one with Stampin' Up. Of course this only gives me 12 days to get ready. Yikes! I better get busy!! Another thing I'd like to mention, totally changing the subject, today I looked at the Cards for a Cause challenge on Splitcoaststampers. I was thrilled to see that in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Chemo Angels is the organization receiving cards from SCS for October. If you'd like to make cards and donate them the address is Splitcoaststampers Cards for a Cause118 S. South Street #605Farmville, VA 23901. The link to the SCS thread about this challenge is here. They need a kinds of cards, the only thing they ask us not to send is get well wishes and good luck sentiments. It's late or almost early, so I better get in bed fast. Thank you for visiting my site and indulging my sharing our life with you. Be Blessed!

World Card Making Day

* *
Well, today may have been designated as World Card Making Day, but for me, hopefully, it will happen tomorrow. Today I was blessed with two granddaughters for the day, so instead of making cards we made spiders. Kelli, my 6 yr. old granddaughter and I made spiders cased from casegj on Splitcoaststampers. They are so darn cute. We used chocolate candies instead of peppermint patties. Kelli wasn't convinced everyone would like the peppermint ones. The body front and back is a scallop punch, the legs were made using the photo frame punch, the eyes used a regular size hole punch, and we drew in the black spots with a marker. So, technically, we didn't stamp, however, we had a great time! I didn't get to clean much either. Oh well, a house should be clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be home, or something like that. I may forgo the Sunday afternoon nap tomorrow after church and get in some stamping and cleaning (in that order of course). Hope you had a blessed day.

Stamp Camp

This past weekend I attended the fall stamping sleepover put on by my recruiter Angie Brailsford. As usual,we had a great time. There was a whole lot of stampin' going on. We arrived on Friday and stayed until Saturday evening after dinner, more than 24 hours with no T.V., no news, no sleep, just a lot of laughter and stamping. I did take a couple of pictures. I am the diva with the new pink stampin glasses. These are my new inspiration readers. Aren't they great? They even have bling on them!

Women of Hope

Montgomery, Alabama is honored to have a women's organization called Women of Hope. A dear lady and breast cancer survivor, Maria Ashmore, is the founder and president of this wonderful educational and supportive organization mentoring to women and their families who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Please use this link to view their website. Upcoming events include a annual Signature luncheon and fashion show October 2, 2oo8 at Aldersgate Methodist Church. Lunch is provided by Carrabba's Italian Grill and the fashion show by Coldwater Creek. There will also be a speaker sharing her experience with breast cancer. I made this card for a special friend who has battled breast cancer. The stamp set is Illuminations and the Baroque wheel. Cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Whisper White. Ink Pretty in Pink. The H in Hope has crystal effects and glitter added for some bling.

FHE Business Expo

Last Thursday, Angie Brasilford, my recruiter and I had a table at the Fellowship of Home Educators monthly meeting and business expo. Of course we gave out door prizes. There were stamp sets, a current Idea Book and Catalog and a "Box in a bag" of candy. Amy Helus won a stamp set, Julia Camp won the "Box in a bag" and Hillary Brooks of Coloring on Walls won the Idea book. We had a make and take for those who wanted to try their hand at stamping. Here is the card we made. Sock Monkey again! This time on Ruby Red, with So Saffron and Very Vanilla. This is a peek a boo card of sorts. The image is stamped inside the card, but can be seen through a circle punched in the front of the card. Chocolate Chip ink was used to stamp cupcakes on the front and for Sock Monkey.

Another Memorial Day for me

Tomorrow, Sept. 14, 2008 would be my only sister's 48th birthday. Peggy died in 1991 of lung cancer. She was 30 years old. I have really missed her today, I guess just thinking about tomorrow being her birthday, we were
only 22 months apart. She was a very special lady and everyone who knew her well loved her and admired her. I hate my children hardly remember her. They were very young when she finished her journey here. She loved birthday celebrations. She was great to send cards and KEPT every card anyone sent her. She had boxes of cards, letters, even notes. She passed away before the internet age erupted. I don't believe she would have liked email as much as a handwritten note. So, in honor of her birthday I have made some cards for our mother. I plan to give them to her tomorrow after church. They are both done in Brocade Blue and Night of Navy, one has Whisper White and the other Bashful Blue layers. I used Night of Navy ink and white grosgrain ribbon on both cards. The stamps sets are Upsy Dasiy and Pocket Silhouettes. I am really loving both of these sets. Both of these sets are new and on SALE for 15% off. check out my Stampin Up website for more details. You can even order online now 24/7! Have a blessed day tomorrow.

Happy 50th Birthday Gordon!!!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Gordon, Happy Birthday to you. Today is my older brothers 50th birthday and for a short time he is older than me. We came to be siblings later in life. He is an incredible man. Gordon has CP, but has never let that stop him. He amazes me with how much he gets into. The pictures above show him getting married to a wonderful lady my sister-in-law, Kathie, and then at Christmas holding my grand baby Cadence. She loved Uncle Gordon's power chair rides. I had a picture I tried to download of Gordon on his honeymoon SKYDIVING! Yes, my otherwise intelligent brother jumped out of a perfectly good plane. No, he can't jump, so he was thrown? pushed? fell out? I not sure. But the smile on his face back on the ground says, "He is an adrenaline junky"! Gordon loves politics and lives in D.C. You can find him in line at most rallies or in front of the News offices just hunting out stories. He has a great sense of humor and even does some comedy with his pathfinder(the computer that talks for him). Gordon as usual I'm late with the card. I was going to post it for you today, but I'll save it for another day and let you get it first. Happy Birthday. Love you!

Grandmother's Birthday

My only living grandparent turned 90 years old September 2, 2008. Tommy and I drove out to Wake Village, Texas to help her celebrate. It was a fun but fast trip. As Hurricane Gustav made his way in-land we had to head home a day early. My grandmother amazes me. She has several health problems and recently had a small stroke, however she is still sharp as a tack. She was telling us how to cook and where to put things away. She had a small party with mostly her neighbors and some family, a cake and punch. It was a nice celebration. Here is the card I made her for her birthday. It is one of my "go to" card sketches I really like and find easy to make. I used Almost Amethyst paper and ink and Whisper white paper. The embellishments are eggplant grosgrain and the pink button. I love old people. Yes, they can be like children sometimes, but they have seen so much. Can you imagine life in 1918? The changes they have seen in their lifetime must be overwhelming. I am afraid we as a society do not give the proper respect to our elderly citizens. So, when you read this I encourage you to hug a senior citizen, go visit a shut in, call your grandparent or parent for that matter. Just a card or kind word means so much to these special people.

I'm Back

Both cards use the new In colors:Breeze and Pacific Point. Hello everybody! Sorry I have been away for a while. We have endured several hurricanes in the past 3 weeks. Some world whirls were blown in by children and others were really hurricanes. We have family stretching from Panama City, Fla to Sugartown, La. (Find that one on the map and you get an A in Geography). The weekend of the 22nd I attended our quarterly down line meeting. It was a weekend event this time and I had the pleasure of hostessing three great girls from the Birmingham area, Martha, Jenn and Kelli. We had a great time and laughed a lot. We even got stopped by the police! We had a great weekend of stamping, swaps, making punch art journals and technique pages. Stampin' Up has so many great promotions going on right now. You can find out about them on my Demonstrator website. I'm having to send this from my mother's computer as ours is not working at the moment. Don't you just love computers(when they WORK!) The two cards I am going to show you are the ones I made for our Christmas card swap and new cattie swap.

Big Day for this Momma

Good Morning! We started the day early after a late night, DH and I went with some friends to see the ASF production of West Side Story. It was really good and a fun evening with good friends. This morning though at 6am our baby, Lee, ( 18 yrs. old) left for the airport in Atlanta to fly to D.C. by herself. Yes, this Momma bear is a little anxious. She is growing up and I am very proud of her. She will be spending the week with her Aunt Kathie and Uncle Gordon; she is also visiting North Virginia Community College! Okay enough family life, let's talk stamping. Yesterday's SCS Color Combo Challenge was Elegant Teal Olives- that's right Elegant Eggplant ,Taken with Teal and Old Olive. It was a challenge for me as the only Teal I thought I had was a marker. I did find some scraps of Teal in my old scrap box. I tried several things before this card emerged. I love this Baroque Motifs set. I think it came out great. Hope you like it. Babies are napping so I'm off to stamp.

It's a Chocolate kinda a day!

Do you every have those days where you'd just like to veg on the couch with your favorite glass of ice tea, with Sonic ice of course, and eat chocolate. I really felt that way today-couldn't do it, but felt like it. My good friend Karen has nicknamed Pellet ice from Sonic-"RTI" rat-turd ice. That sounds gross, but all of us call it that, even my 74 yr. old mother. My two babies, Cadie and Haley, start the day with " ice, Ice, ICe, ICE, CECE, ICE! I'm CeCe and RTI is their favorite thing. Well, for today's stamping project I actually did very little stamping. Just the tag was stamped with the new Riding Hood Red from Stampin' Up's new fall winter collection of In Colors. It is a very pretty red. The nugget holders were made with the new Bella Rose paper, the scallop circle punch and pink taffeta ribbon. These are great little party favors and very easy to make. Call me to book a workshop and we can make these for one of your projects. Hope you have a great Sunday. May God bless you real good.

Saturday in the Park...

Remember that song from the 70's I think. Well, around here it's Saturday in the projects! Tommy is in the attic working on a "3 hr tour" but weather started getting rough, and his 3 hr. project of moving cable in the attic has taken three weeks! I am hoping, praying, and planning on organizing in my craft room so I can clean off the "dining room" table that one has eaten at in weeks. That project has not been started yet. I am also headed to Greensprings to help one of the residents decorate a big flamingo! Well enough rambling, I have a really cute card to show you today. It is called an ATC or artist trading card, they are often used for swaps because on their smaller size. This one was for the limited supply challenge at SCS yesterday. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371092 The idea was to make a small card to tuck in your kids' or husband's lunch box or book bag for them to discover later. I used Brocade Blue with Barely Banana, Real Red and Whisper White. Sock Monkey is stamped on a 1 3/8 circle, colored and placed inside the card so he is peeking out the 1 1/4 circle punched out of the front. The tag is placed on dimensionals and the ribbon is attached with a silver brad. You won't believe Tommy still has a Sock Monkey his grandmother made him over 50 years ago. Well, hope you enjoy this card. Have a great day. Let's get together soon and stamp, stamp stamp!

I have one with your name on it! The stamp is from the new hostess set Deer Friends! It is so cute and free with a 150.00 workshop or order. These make wonderful party favors.( The nugget wrapper not a catalog) I took one to the beauty shop this morning for the wonderful Lady who cuts my hair. She loved it. Hope yall have a great day.

Wednesday Splitcoast Challenge

I created this card today for the Card sketch challenge for SCS. The triangles and center rectangle were mandatory pieces. It was a fun project. I enjoy the challenges because they make me do something different; they give me a new place to start. Speaking of challenges, learning to publish a blog is no piece of cake. I have read more technical stuff in the last week than I have in years. So, please bear with me as I learn to do links and stuff. I try to make the titles links if it's appropriate. Thank you all for visiting me and for your sweet comments. The images used for this card are in the new Fall-Winter Catalog, the colors I am sorry to say are retiring to make way for new "IN Colors". Let me know if you want a new catalog and I'll tell you how to get one for free.

Happy Birthday to you.... Dear Taab... Happy Birthday to You!

The card is in the mail, I promise. However, so you could see it on your birthday I am posting it for you. I made it for a challenge last week, but would not but it online until your birthday. It's a square spring card and they are really cool and fun to make. I choose the new Tangerine Tango with Close to Cocoa and Choc. Chip. Sounds yummy. The little kitty is from Zoofari. I used the See you Around jumbo wheel for the background with Choc. Chip ink. Here is the link for how to make these card. It is a great tutorial !http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319806&highlight=spring

Color Combo Challenge 2007-2008 "In colors"

The In colors for the last year are retiring as of August 10th. I received my new catalog today and the new IN colors are beautiful. The SCS Color Combo Challenge this week was to use the retiring colors. I choose Purely Pomegranate and Wild Washbi. The stamp is from a new hostess set called Deer Friends. I was so excited to get my new catalog. You won't believe all the new and really cool stuff. Email or call me it you need a new catalog. August 11th is just 6 days away. Oh, if you want to see the challenge on SCS click on the title of this post.

Future Stampers of America

I know you have heard of the Future Farmers of America and the Future Homemakers of America (I was one of these) Well, We have a new organization to tell you about. It's Future Stampers of America. We held our first club meeting today and it was very successful. Cadence is a natural, she climbed up on the punch box and started grabbing stamps and wheels. Maybe a bit wheel challenged

I've been busy.

Today I want to show you one of my favorite cards to make. I saw this basic demonstration several years ago at one of the first stamping events I attended. They are fairly simple cards, that's why I like them. On this card using the scallop punch, I punched out a shape on the front of the card. Then I stamped the little pig on White card stock and punched it out also with the scallop punch. I then position the White scallop inside the card showing through. I pierced the center of the scallops with the paper piercer and added a little piece of ribbon. Viola! You can use any punch, square, round, oval ,tag whatever best suits your image. Speaking of images-unfortunately, this cute little Pig is retired. I love him. This card was for Haley's first birthday from Cadence. Cadence, i.e. Cadie, gave Haley a Mushybelly Pig for her Birthday, so we needed the Piggy card.

Too Cute! Box in a Bag

I made the cutest little bag out of DSP (still working on using up the retiring paper) to match the Birthday card I made for one of my babies. I found At "Stamping with Di" Just click on the title and it will link you to her tutorial. It was not difficult. I used Cutie Pie DSP with Whisper White and Pretty in Pink Cardstock, new scallop edge punch, the 5-petal punch, round tab punch, 1/4 inch hole punch and a button. The button has a sliver of paper threaded through it like thread. I hope you like it. It was fun to make. If you are interested in learning to make these email me and I'll set up a class for you.

This is the Day the Lord has made, Rejoice in it!

Good Morning. It's an early day for us. We have to been at church this am before 8:( I am not a morning person and it takes us 35-40 minutes to get there hence the title of this post. The card I'm sharing today is for Cadence's (g'baby) best bud and playmate's first birthday. I'm still using old favorites that are soon to be gone forever. Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and DSP Cutie Pie (love that paper!) Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, and Bashful Blue Stamps: Zoofari , Sock Monkey and For a Friend. The rhino is on dimensional with a piece of faux ribbon from the balloon in her mouth. The ribbon is from the RO set Sherbet. This was fun making. Remember you only have a few more days to order retiring paper, stamps and ribbon.

Another challenge from this week

Well, I do have another card to post, however my biggest challenge this week has definitely been learning about blogs. I have spent way to much time playing on the computer without alot of results. But again, this is a new learning experience for me and I'll keep on trying.
I created this card for a demo in my group. It is an anniversary card. Happy Anniversary Crystal! I hope you like the card. It was for a SCS card sketch challenge however, I stuck with the color combo challenge from the day before. I never really liked Groovy Guava-but with the Sahara Sand and Whisper White it looks pretty good. I did use the *New* "In Color" Tangerine Tango ink. It worked well.
So get busy and use up all those old colors the new ones are on there way soon. This stamp set is called Fresh Cuts, it is also in the new Cattie. Just a few more days- I can't wait to get my hands on that book!

I have really become hooked on challenges. Stamping challenges that is, not the everyday life ones. This past week I did several: a new technique challenge, color combo challenge, card sketch and limited supply challenge. These are all posted at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ It was addicting. I stayed up late in hopes of catching the post as soon as the new challenge was given. Here are some of my cards from this week.
These two cards were for the limited supplies challenge on Thursday. The challenge was to use scraps. I have tons of scraps. I hate to throw away all those little little over pieces of paper. So this was great. The stamp set is Enjoy every Moment, the cardstock Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

This card is made with Basic Black , Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White and So Saffron. The DSP is Petals and Paisleys. The stamp is Polka Dots and Paisleys. I used White craft ink on the black cardstock and Turquoise on the So Saffron. Oh, I almost forgot I used my brand new scallop punch for the edge. Love that punch! Don't forgot the brad.
