Hey Y'all! February rolled in today with temps in the mid 70's. Yep, that's Alabama for you. We had a 5 minute snowy flurry last week and sunshine, shorts and t-shirts the last 2 days!.Never dull! Well, enough weather talk. Personally, I have never been one to "set the curve", you know those smarty pants that set the bar really high. My darling Tombo was that guy in school! (Didn't have many friends in his classes). Anyway, I have a card to share with you today that I love! This new bundle has taken me a bit to figure it out! Lots of pieces! But girls it is fun! Today I not only felt like a crafter, but a florist too! I'm talking about the new Botanical Blooms and Builder Framelits (#140819). I had a hard time stopping. I could have added flowers to everything! Hope you like it.
Card stock: Basic Black, Always Artichoke , Cajun Craze and Hello Honey, Old Olive Whisper White

How's yours?
Happy New Year!!!!!
When Tommy and I were first married we were in a Sunday School class with other young couples. We often played a game called "How's yours?" It was a fun game that helped us get to know each other, provided some good laughs and could be played anywhere! Nothing needed. This is one of the many perks of My Paper Pumpkin! It comes all packed in a sweet little box with everything you need to complete the projects! So, why did I bring this up?
Yep, Paper Pumpkin is on sale during Sale-a-bration! With a 3 month pre-paid subscription (137859) for only 55.00 US, you also get to pick an awesome product from the Sale-a-bration flyer! Win- Win! This is a great time to try out Paper Pumpkin if you have been thinking about it.
Now, thank you for stopping by Stamping in Dixie! I am working on my plans for 2016 and have included a goal of more consistent posting and hopefully,
more project tutorials and maybe even a video or two! This will be way out of my comfort zone and computer ability- so we will see how successful I am with that goal. I'll keep you posted! I pray God's blessing on each of you for this new year. My Heavenly Father is all about new beginnings! Today count your many blessings, then go be a blessing to someone else and you will find yourself truly blessed!

Are you ready?
I've been hearing that question a lot lately, Are you ready for Christmas? It is a great question, but probably not what you're thinking. I know I am running around "like a chicken with its head cut off" trying to juggle all the balls in the air. I have done some craft fairs this season which meant some long nights making cute stuff! I went to a Cookie exchange, hostessed a Christmas Open House and still have another Christmas party at my house this week. I have baking to do for Darling's office, Cadiebug's annual cookie bake and Sunday School party. I could go on but you get the idea. I know I'm not alone in this sinking ship-many of you are right beside me, well probably a little ahead- I tend to procrastinate. The point is, "What are we really doing to get ready for Christmas"? One of our favorite things to do this time of year is watch A Christmas Carol. We watch it on television or I love to go see it at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, but we always watch it. The whole of A Christmas Carol can be summed up, at least for me, in the phrase,
“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!” .

One of my favorite cards this season has been this double Z fold using the Winter Wonderland DSP and All Ye Faithful stamp set. Never thought I'd love Christmas in Black and Gold! Hope you like it. Check out the End of year sale on my business page here. The paper is on Sale! Now, have a great day, be a blessing to someone else and you will be greatly blessed!
Love,
Cindy

I have an awesome project to share with y'all! I created this "book box" for Momma! She will be turning 81 on the 25th of this month. Her birthday falls on Thanksgiving every few years, she is definitely my role model! We usually have Thanksgiving at her house, but this year Momma and Happy, her husband, are traveling all the way to NEW YORK CITY! They will be gone for Thanksgiving and her birthday. My plan is for all the family to write messages to her while we are gathered together for Thanksgiving and place them in the box. We will give this to her when she gets home. After, of course, we hear all about the Sandy Patti Concert, Wicked and Lion King. What a birthday!
Isn't this the bomb! The box actually opens like a book, it will fit regular A2 cards and envelopes. The small cards are 3 x 3, and decorated with extra pieces of Woodland Designer Series paper. You can find a list of materials at the end of this post.

And here is my card I made for Momma's birthday. It's a gate-fold card with a belly band and half a shutter! I know half! I just haven't worked out the kinks to get the shutter to open up enough to see all the picture. So I just added one instead of two shutters. You can see the pumpkins peeking out the window.Open it all the way and the shutter reveals the rest of the picture.
Loved making this one and plan on continuing to work on the measurements so that it really works as a shutter card. Momma's going to flip! She is a avid card maker and I know she'll love this one. well, ladies, that's the whole pumpkin pie!Hope you enjoyed these projects.
