2 minutes today!

It's Tuesday and it's a beautiful day in Dixieland. I just have a couple things to share today.  First, it's just about 26 hours until the first of the 12 weeks of Christmas projects will be delivered to my email subscribers. If you haven't subscribed you can do so on the welcome to Stamping in Dixie page. Don't miss these great projects delivered right to your inbox.
So, you know it's DSP buy, 3 get 1 free time at Stampin' Up! and in honor of WCMD (World Card making Day) there is a 15% off sale- but did you realize that these two are somewhat coordinated? Yep, Coffee Break DSP is on the sale list as is the Coffee Cafe stamp set, the really cute Pick a Pattern which pairs with the Pieces and Patterns stamp set, and one of my favorite is the Delightful Daisy DSP and the Daisy Delight Stamp set. The Daisy was one of my first purchases out of the new annual catalog. Probably because it's one of my favorite flowers. Here's a card I made with the DSP and stamp set for one of my downline meetings. I love the creative folds. And I love this card displays so many of the beautiful patterns in this "delightful" paper.
  Ingredients for this card:
Back panel is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Tranquil Tide
cardstock. (144246)
Daffodil Delight (119683) 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 3", 5 1/2", 8 & 9 1/2
Delightful Daisy DSP (144137) are 1 1/4 x 4,
2 1/4" x 4" & 2 3/4" x 4".
There is a Whisper White piece stamped on the inside that is 2 1/4" x 4". The banner is stamped in Tranquil Tide and the daisy is stamped twice in Daffodil Delight and punched out with the Daisy Punch (143713).
Of course, what is a card without a little bling! A gold faceted gem makes a great daisy center.(144141)
Okay, that's it for today. Hope you enjoyed this card. It was fun to make. Check out the sale in my online store and stock up on these gorgeous Designer Series Papers and  coordinating stamp sets while they are on sale.

Always say Thank you!

When our children were young we had a family rule- Eat what your served, sleep where you're put and Always say Thank You! They heard it repeatedly and they repeated it often!  Occassionally, today I'll here my daughter saying it to her children. I believe being thankful is a big deal!  The Bible says "In all things give thanks for this is the will of God." The project I'm sharing today is just that- a little thank you to the ladies who helped make my December successful.
Love this little Chick! I'm letting my hair grow and I think I have seen this image in the mirror a few times lately! I used the glassine bags (#141700) and tied it with the Delightful Dijon Dotted lace trim (#138426).It's a great price on the clearance rack. The Chick is stamped with Basic Black ink on thick White cardstock and cut out with the Layering oval framelits. The Basic Black layer is cut with the scalloped framelit. I stamped the Hey Chick saying and banner cut each end. Easy peasy and quick! This is a great way to package any small item you'd like to share with someone special. Oh, I forgot to mention- This Hey Chick stamp set is free from Stampin' Up during Saleabration! For every 50.00 in product you get to choose an awesome free product. You can see the Sale a bration catalog by clicking on it at the top left side of this post.Well, time to run. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed my little thank you. I'd love to hear your comments. Come back soon!

Happy Birthday Momma!

Jennifer and GG
Happy Thanksgiving a few days late! Thanksgiving day was also my momma, Billie Slack Richmond's, 82 birthday. We had our traditional southern Thanksgiving meal with most all the family. Elizabeth, our youngest daughter, was unable to come from North Carolina. Tombo fried a turkey, we had mash potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing, shrimp and grits dressing, Watergate salad, broccoli casserole and cranberry sauce. And of course, Sweet tea!  Momma made pecan pies and our daughter Jennifer made a gluten free pecan pie cheesecake! Oh my!!! Is all I can say about that! It was a great day and actually ended with some late shopping-crazy people!
I wanted to share with y'all the birthday card I made for my Momma. I love the double Z fold card and the Petals and Paisleys Designer series paper. Love the copper accents in this paper.

I had a really hard time with the lighting on this picture because of the copper. The small leaves are out of the October paper pumpkin kit, sponged with Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry. I used the Stitched framelit oval for the Happy Birthday layer and the large numbers framelit for the 82.
Hope you like this card. IF I can help you find your creative mojo or if you need any Stampin Up supplies just leave me a comment of you can visit my online store here. Thanks for stopping by. Come back and visit again soon. Be blessed and go bless those around you and you will be truly blessed.
