What are your favorite small things?

Hi Y'all! Hope you are having an awesome summer. It is hot as... well, you can fill in the blank. But I'll just say it is really hot here! Our summer has been busy. Little people have a way of keeping you runnin'. But when I start to complain I  remind myself, "Those little boogers are the best part of my day!" I could flood you with crazy grandmother pictures and stories of my 4 grands. They are truly the reward for not killing their parents during those rough years! The card I have to share with you today reminds of of those smallest blessings in our lives. I love this stamp set for saying. It's the thing I struggle with the most.  Sayings, what to stamp on cards that has some meaning.

Layering Love (141965) has four large really good sayings that fit with our new layering shape framelits. I started with a card stretch from Angie Juda at Chic n scratch. It's the 1st  from Paper and Ink Sketches. However, it just wasn't exactly working. I ended up using the DSP on the bottom, using a strip of cardstock instead of ribbon and layering my saying on the oval framelits. There is some of the cooper thread behind the ovals. It is so fine it's hard to see. I am loving the Copper embosing powder!

Guest Hoppers for February are:

I was so excited to be invited to this months blog hop. I LOVE black and white! It's about all you'll find in my closet with a little red thrown in there! It's hard being an Auburn Tiger when your wardrobe yells "Roll Tide!"

This is a big birthday month for our family. So, I am doing cards and lots of birthday stuff like cupcake picks, goodie bags and gift tags.  This weekend is Cooperman's party! You can see his card in my last post and then a good friend of ours Jimmy Gibson will be 75 on Saturday! Jimmy is amazing,he and his wife Debbie are both blind. so several of today's projects are for Jimmy's birthday lunch this weekend. For his card I used the the Stamp set Boys will be Boys and added the balloon framelits and the 75 from the Large Numbers framelit dies.
I mentioned we had a lot of birthday's this month. Our oldest grandson will be 9 later this month so I made his card using the same set.  I used the more current toy choices for Stephens birthday card. His biological father was killed in the Middle east before Stephen was born. I know he'll love the little solider and what 9 yr.old boy doesn't love LEGO"S.

For my other projects, I made cupcake picks using the Stamp set Party Wishes and the coordinating balloon and cupcake punch.
These are easy to make and I love how they dress up a plain cupcake. The goodie bag is made with the  Treat bag framelit and the No bones about it stamp set.I even stamped the tissue paper with the dino skeleton. I was planning on using these for both birthdays. All boys love dinosaurs and Jimmy is as old as one! My final project is a bottle tag. I love to add these to a bottle of something sparkling for a birthday celebration. I hope you enjoyed these ideas for adding creative stamped projects to your birthday party or just for a thoughtful gift. We love birthdays! They are special at our house. It's your day to shine -  I believe you can make someone feel really special with a hand-stamped card or treat. Thank you for stopping by today. Please continue on our hop. Don't forget to comment with the #SFFebHop on each person's blog you visit for chances to win the Mystery Giveaway!

Happy Birthday Cooperman!

Today is Cooperman's 5th birthday. He is a twinkle in my eye for sure. The sweetest, cutest, ball of energy you can imagine. He is number 3 in the grandchildren train and keeps us laughing. It is unseasonably cold this week for Alabama and Cooper ask me to turn on the "Warm-a-dditioner" when I took him to preschool yesterday morning because it was just to cold in the car.
Say "Ahhh"
I've called him Cooperman -my superman! for a couple of years. I even wrote a little song I used to sing to him about what a superman he was becoming. He really loves it and tells everyone "Cece calls me Cooperman because I'm her superman!"I have been waiting to use this Super Hero stamp set just for him! So when he gets his card tomorrow I hope he loves it as much as I love making it for him.
This set is so cool- it's photopolymer and one that has lots of pieces!I also incorporated the Big numbers framelit for the number 5! Unfortunately the Calling all Heros  set is out of stock, but there are a lot of photopolymer stamps set some in the catalog and some that are not here. check them out. Also, Don't forget it's Sale-a-bration! Get a free item from the Saleabration flyer for every 50.00 you spend until March 31st. thanks for stopping by. Come back soon and leave me a comment. Be Blessed!
