Stampin' Friends No Rules Blog Hop.

Welcome to the March Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! Thanks for hopping with us today. No rules, no theme, no color combo, no sketch! I don't know what to do! Give me guidelines, give me boundaries!  I have a really hard time deciding what to do when I have no given direction. But, I landed on a concept I have been working on for a while! I have too much paper! (Insert horror face, did she really say that, Gasp). I really do. I love Designer Series Paper and I buy a lot of it. So my plan is to cut it up and use it! I've been making list of all the ways I can use Stampin' Up's awesome double sided and specialty papers.I have just a couple to show you today but more in the works. Here's all the projects I made for today. There are two cards with double layered DSP, 2 matching envelopes, 1 made with the envelope punch board and one lined with DSP, a gift card holder and a wood mount stamp case lined with DSP to hold it all.














I really like this cute Bubble and Fizz paper from the Sale A Bration flyer this year. Here is a close up of the 2 cards I made.
By double layering the DSP I used more than I usual and love the outcome.
For my project, I used the DSP to line Stampin' Up's wood mount cases.
The total dimensions for the liner is 7" x 11 1/4". I cut my DSP 6" x 11 1/4", then added a  coordinating 3/4" strip to the top and bottom. I covered the seam with a strip of washi tape. Added a saying and it's done! The gift card holder is just a piece of  DSP 6" x 5 1/4". Add a belly band and embellish!
 Here is a picture of the inside with the cards inside. And I have more to add, but that's for another day! Hope you enjoyed this projects. There were fun to make.  I think this might be a great gift idea for my family members for their birthday's. We have 16 grown niece's and nephew's!

Cooperman- My favorite 7 year old!

Good afternoon y'all. Hope this finds you and yours doing well! I think most of us are feeling good finely! It seems everyone was battling something this month. This was a big Birthday month for us! Cooperman, my superman, turned 7. He is a spunky, smart and very energetic little boy. He definitely has his CeCe wrapped around his finger. We made a quick trip to see our daughter, Elizabeth, in North Carolina for her birthday the middle of the month and our 11 year old grandson Stephen had his birthday last week! Phew! I've been making birthday cards, not to mention Valentine stuff! Here is Cooperman's awesome card!

This is the outside view. the Designer Series Paper layer is on the outside of the envelope. The bottom of the card is embossed with the brick embossing folder. It's a box card. I love these.This one uses the very popular Magical Day Stamp set (145854) and Myths and Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (145600).



Here is a closer view of the little knight. Isn't he the cutest thing ever!
Cooperman loved it! Of course he really loved the sweet little 2x2 inch acetate box that accompanied the card with the 7 dollars, 7 quarters, 7 dimes, 7 nickels and 7 pennies!

#Pleasenottheflu!

Hey y'all! It's been a tough few weeks around here. A lot of activity and too much not feeling well!!! A couple sick grand kids, a couple sick kids and Tombo and I fighting it with everything! So far I think I'm just fighting a cold! But I promise I am hitting it it with everything I've got. Most of all I seem to be sleeping a lot! This means I'm not accomplishing all the late night stuff I usually do! So you see why I am behind in posting, I am behind in projects, housework, laundry... Hopefully, I'm headed in the right direction now! I wanted to share a sweet project with y'all. I made this for a long time friends daughter, who is getting married in a few months. I never do wedding stuff and here I've had 2 in less than a month! Looks familiar I know.
I used the same stamp set (Petal Passion) and Memories and more card kit as I did on the last card I shared. I love it! This stamp set is awesome. The whole suite is awesome! The card is very different fold and the packaging is awesome!!!! Wait, I have used that word to many times. The packaging is Over the Top! Here is the card closed. The left flap slides under the oval embellishment to hold the card closed. It actually is a gift card holder. I used the DSP, the stamp set, the Memories and more kit,  and the  coordinating framelits. The little
embellishment that holds the gift card
with the sentiment sending you Lots + Lots of happy is from the Lots of Happy Card kit (146388) in the Occasions catalog. It is my all time favorite All inclusive kit! I promise! That little envelope held the gift card and it fit in the flap. The white piece behind it is a 3 x 4 card from the Memories and more kit that I was able to use to write a message. I have to say I was really pleased with how this turned out! Time to run, so I'll save the packaging until next time! Have a great day. Stampin' Friends All about Love Blog Hop!

Good morning and welcome to the January Stampin' Friends All about Love Blog Hop! So, I'm sort of dedicating this blog post to my sweet niece Lauren and her soon to be husband, Ben. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Ben yet, but if Lauren picked him, he must be special. They met while in Bible college in California. Lauren is actually Rev. Lauren Waldroff! Since this hop is "All about Love" what more could I ask for to inspire me- a young couple in love, preparing to share the love of God with the world together! While visiting with Lauren and her family last weekend, she mentioned her wedding colors were pretty much black and light pink. Wham! Petal Passion Memories and More card Pack popped into my head! Love this accessory to the Petal Passion suite!

As you can see I added a few other elements. I love the new stamp set Hold on to Hope and the thinlets set in the Sale a Bration catalog- Celebrate You!
The wedding is not until June! Do you know how hard it will be for me to keep this under wraps until then? Okay now we need a matching card to accompany this work of art! Viola! I decided on a double Z-fold card continuing with the Memories and More card pack.

Happy New Year!

Are you scratching your head at the last post- the one I just posted? I debated going ahead and sharing it, but really loved the whole post and decided, "What the heck"! I wrote that post and thought I had scheduled it for Friday before Christmas. Obviously, I have been MIA from the blogging world for a couple of weeks. I just today realized that the scheduled post did not in fact post as it should have. I'm certain this was a user error (mine), but just thought I'll go ahead and share it anyway! So, enjoy a little before Christmas stamping almost 3 weeks later! So HAPPY 2018! I find it hard to believe it doesn't seem that long ago we were worrying about Y2K! It's been 18 years! Stamping Up is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year which is a pretty big deal in the crafting world. We thought 2 sisters in their living room would created a company that 30 years later would be know world wide! But you can't even imagine the impact this company has had on the lives of so many women and families. I have been blessed to be with Stampin' Up! for 11 years now. I am amazed at that fact I still get excited when a new catalog debuts! Drumroll!!!! Have you seen the new 2018 Occasions Catalog?  It has 15 BUNDLES! It is amazing! and on top of that it's Sale-A-Bration time. Y'all it doesn't get any better than this! Oh wait, maybe it does. Check out this promotion.

Cute scraps and Moose Munch!

Well, I'm hitting the floor running every waking minute these last few days before the Big Day! Today is Tombo's (DH) work party. I got up at 5:30 to make an amazing Cranberry Christmas cake. It is so easy and so good. I also made 15 bags of Moose Munch for him to place in each co-workers stocking today and wrapped a Dirty Santa gift! It's been a busy morning.
After bagging the Moose Munch, which is really caramel corn with peanuts and pecans drizzled with white chocolate and green sugar, I decided they need a cute tag of course. So I sat here and designed the cutest tag out of the pile of scrapes on my table. I kid you not the pile of scraps is huge! It was actually a lot of fun. I do kind of enjoy the challenge of working with somewhat limited supplies. It isn't quite as overwhelming as everything in my craft room.
This first photo is a step by step of the process I use to make the tags. The bottom one is the basket of the finished projects!
I used the 2" circle punch to round the end of the tag and a 1" circle punch to punch the hole in the center.
These are really fun for me and I enjoy creating this  type of projects for my Christmas gifts. I pray as you prepare for the Christmas season, you will take the time to reflex on the the greatest gift of all- Jesus Christ, God's Only begotten son. As much of the world celebrates His birth at this time, don't miss the wonder of God's gift to mankind.

Christmas Crusin'

If you missed me lately our family decided to do something different and headed to New Orleans to hop on a ship and cruise for a week. All 14 of us from my 83 year old mother to my youngest grandson at 2 years old enjoyed a week in the western Caribbean. It was great.  Unfortunately, some of the group came home sick with the flu! But for the most part it was a great trip and I can't wait to get some pictures on page! I know everyone is super busy getting ready for Christmas I am taking it easy. Not stressing and trying to have fun. That might be the reason I have been MIA for a while. The Open house the 1st of December was a hit and well attended. I have  the new catalogs. If you need one let me know, I 'll get it to you asap. The Mystery hostess workshop was very successful. Debbie Bryant, Lynn Laton, Deborah Beard and Stephanie Roberti won 25.00 in free product and Kimberly Parker was picked for the 1/2 price item. There may be just a few more goodies to go around!
I'm showing you this card again. It was from a post back in November. I submitted this card for the PCC266 (Paper Craft Crew) challenge number 266. It was a sketch challenge. Well, I just found out I was chosen as one of the top picks! They choose 3 cards from the entries as the top picks for that challenge. I am stoked! Thanks for letting me share my successes.
