Thankfully reaching for the stars

Good morning friends!
I pray you are having a blessed day and know the Lord is with you. I am trying to finish up my To Do list before leaving for my first trip to NEW YORK CITY! I am so excited. I will be gone for the next two weeks. I am thankful for my friend, Jewel, who is staying at our house and caring for the dog and cat. I am thankful for this opportunity to travel with dear friends and make good memories. I have much to be thankful for this year. I am very thankful for all my customers and appreciate your support more than you know.
I set a very high goal for myself this year and I am close to reaching it, but I could use a little help to finish off this stampin year. So to thank you for helping me reach my goal I am offering a 20% off discount to all orders placed this week Sept.19-25. This is not eligible on hostess club orders nor will these orders count toward your customer appreciation cards. Orders can be sent to me by email and paid for with paypal or placed online and I will send you a refund check. I really appreciate your help in reaching my goal!
I do have another Drapery Fold card to share today. I was thanking of a fall theme card for my hostess clubs. We have already done Halloween so I went for just general color them. It turned out great and I love the Copper! There's that Swirly Scribbles again. I used Paisleys and Petals DSP. Love it! Do you notice the little copper piece on the inside? It's the leftover piece from the center of the swirl on the leaves. Don't waste a bit of that beautiful copper paper! Well, it's time to go. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your encouragement and support. I finally truly blessed.

Back to School

Welcome to the Back to School Fall Stampin Friends Blog Hop! So glad you could join us this week. If you came from Kristeen Gill's blog thank-you for continuing. Isn't she amazing? I am still pinching myself that I am getting to do this every month as a "regular'! But very thankful! We have three very talented bloggers joining us this month as guest hoppers.
If you haven't already visited their blogs be sure to click on the link here to see what awesome projects they have to share.
I still love it when all the stores start filling the shelves with school supplies. My youngest is 26 and has been out of school for some time, fortunately I have grandkids- 2 4th graders and a kinderbaby! He wouldn't like that! I love new notebooks , pencils and pens! Oh, and file folders!!! Be still my heart. Isn't that silly, but it's true! So my non-card project this month is a covered composition notebook! I have really had a good time playing with this idea. It is a work in progress and will continue for a while. I have come a little late to the party for Bullet journaling. I'm hooked. But wanted to do my own creating and use what I already have.
Ta Da! Here is a picture of my new Bullet journal notebook . At least an inexpensive version. I used a 50 cent composition book and covered it with DSP. Here I used Dapper Denim because what says Back to school more than a new pair of jeans? The monogram is so popular I wanted to use it for the front of my Bullet journal. Added a couple of matching enamel shapes to embellish it just a little. The inside is personalized with Washi Tape and stamps. This is definitely an work in process. Did you notice the little tabs sticking out of the top?

These were created with washi tape or DSP over heavy white cardstock and the Project life Paperclip thinlets. Love these! I confess I have had this set for a while and really hadn't used them much. That will be changing!!!The large triangle bookmark is cut from the corner of an envelope and covered in Washi tape!  It can mark one page or a section of pages.

My card project is a set of 3 x 3 cards I call lunch box notes. My grands spend at least one night a week with me, so I get to pack their lunches and backpacks for the next day. I love sticking these little notes in their lunch box or snack pouches almost as much as they love getting them. Cooper who is in Kindergarten is often holding his in his hand when I pick him up. Yes, it makes a grand-mom happy.

That's it for my show and tell today. I really hope you enjoyed these ideas and find something to inspire you to create. Thank you following the Stampin Friends Blog Hop. Head over to Andrea Tracy-Tucker's Blog to see what good stuff she has posted.

I'm so ready!

I am so ready for FALL! Don't get me wrong I love summer but after what seems like months of heat index over 100, I'm ready for some cooler weather, fewer bugs, football season and maybe a fire in the chiminea with the Grands roosting marshmallows and eating s'mores.  We ran up to DC over Labor Day to visit my brother and his wife, the weather was so pleasant you felt like doing something outside besides jumping in the pool. I'm ready for the Pumpkin Patch!
This is Gordon and moi! He will be 58 this weekend. He is older than me!!! (Truthfully by only a couple months!) He is an amazing man! Happy birthday and we love you!
The card I'm sharing is one I created for my hostess clubs. It is a drapery fold or curtain fold card. There are a ton of these floating around in cyberspace. This one uses a piece of  DSP that is only 6 x 3 inches. I love that because I can get 8 out of 1 sheet of 12 x 12 DSP. This gorgeous paper is in the Holiday catalog, it's called Petals and Paisleys. Beautiful paper! I adore this little scarecrow and crow. He was stamped in black Stazon and colored with a blender pen and markers. The ribbon used here is yummy Delightful Dijon! It is in the holiday catalog as well in a trio pack. Love, love, love ribbon!!!!!
Well, that's about it for today. Thanks for stopping by. If I can help you with something please contact me. If you'd like to order any of these products, go to my online store here. I'd love to know you were here so please leave me a comment . Thanks. Have a blessed day and  experience true blessings by being a blessing to someone else.

So excited! I'm about to wet my pants!!!!

Hey Y'all. September 1st is almost here just 3 more sleeps! What happens September first you dare ask? The new 2016 Holiday Catalog goes live!!!!!I am beyond excited with this catalog. There are so many, 16 to be exact, awesome bundles. And the Designer Series Paper! Oh my!!!! The Candy Cane paper is just to die for!But you'll have to wait til Thursday for that preview. Today I'm showing off a card I designed for my clubs using the Emboss Resist technique and the new Cookie Cutter Halloween set and coordinating punch. (just wait til you see all the stamps that go with this punch!) Isn't this the cutest little scarecrow?
I'm loving all the ideas I'm thinking of for these little guys. I'm listing ways to use these that are NOT Halloween!
  • Like: mummy for someone recovering from surgery or an accident
  • a get well for someone with a broken bone
  • maybe you know an x-ray tech- great birthday card for them.
  • I'm even thinking of the little Dracula for my lab tech friends,
  •  treats for our church blood drive!
This set becomes much more valuable to me if I can use it for something other than just Halloween! The inside shows off another great tag stamp for Halloween. Well, that's it for today. If you need a Holiday mini just let me  know! I'll be happy to send you one in the post or deliver if you live close!  Hope each of you have a great and blessed day and that you have the chance to bless someone else-for then you will feel truly blessed! Love ya!

My HOPE is built on nothing less...

Good morning stampers and crafters! It's another Stampin Friends Blog Hop!
I am so excited to again be hopping with these very creative ladies! I promise I feel out of my league. If you came from Caorlina Evans' awesome blog thanks for continuing on the hop.You can go back to her site with the PREVIOUS link You can also use the NEXT link to go on to Lynn Streifert blog This months guest hoppers joining us are the very talented:
Angela Lorenz
Kim Lamos

So, my title my have given you a clue as to this month's theme HOPE! Whenever I hear that word my mind immediately begins to hum the old hymn,"MY hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteous." What an anchor to hold on too! I am thankful for the Christian heritage generations before ihave passed on to me. Another thought that "Hope" evokes is tied to my friend Maria and a group of ladies called Women of Hope. Maria founded this organization 10 years ago after fighting her own battle with Breast cancer. Their mission  is to educate, promote awareness and provide hope and encouragement  for individuals and their families coping with breast cancer. It's amazing what they have accomplished in our community. I wanted to use this opportunity to do something for them. These projects will be donated to WOH to use in the gift baskets they pass out to those  newly diagnosed with breast cancer.

Here's a group picture. I loved this Paper Pumpkin kit and thought it would be fun to do banners with hope on them. The banner hanging in the picture is the one off one of the cards on the left. It was made using the directions in the Paper Pumpkin kit. The other card I kind of did my own thing. It has one pennant with a heart from Sunshine Wishes thinlets and the word hope, I also stamped the always from the Time of Year hostess set.

I love my 3-d project. Ir's great when you have friends with addictions different than your own!
I can't throw away Crystal Light containers. I have boxes! I love peach tea! My friend Sharon loves Altoids! She gave me a big bag full of empty tins! This one is covered in a piece of the 2016-2018 DSP in Flirty Flamingo  on top and bottom. Then I added washi type around the edges top and bottom and the middle is a piece of Ruched Flirty Flamingo ribbon. I stamped hope is black from Watercolor Wishes and added a Bitty Butterfly in a piece of black DSP.

Because this is for the Women of Hope baskets, I added Peppermint Patties and peppermint hard candies. These are both helpful with upset tummy's!                     Here's the inside.
The says on the inside is from the stamp set Here for You( 142164 Clear).  It's one of the best stamp sets we've ever had for sayings for those going through difficult times.
And finally, don't forget We have awesome Blog Candy. So comment on each blog with the #SFAugHop to earn chances for the prizes. The winner will receive a gift from each Blog!

I HOPE you have an awesome day. Be blessed and be a blessing to those around you. God Bless.
