Christmas Crusin'

If you missed me lately our family decided to do something different and headed to New Orleans to hop on a ship and cruise for a week. All 14 of us from my 83 year old mother to my youngest grandson at 2 years old enjoyed a week in the western Caribbean. It was great.  Unfortunately, some of the group came home sick with the flu! But for the most part it was a great trip and I can't wait to get some pictures on page! I know everyone is super busy getting ready for Christmas I am taking it easy. Not stressing and trying to have fun. That might be the reason I have been MIA for a while. The Open house the 1st of December was a hit and well attended. I have  the new catalogs. If you need one let me know, I 'll get it to you asap. The Mystery hostess workshop was very successful. Debbie Bryant, Lynn Laton, Deborah Beard and Stephanie Roberti won 25.00 in free product and Kimberly Parker was picked for the 1/2 price item. There may be just a few more goodies to go around!
I'm showing you this card again. It was from a post back in November. I submitted this card for the PCC266 (Paper Craft Crew) challenge number 266. It was a sketch challenge. Well, I just found out I was chosen as one of the top picks! They choose 3 cards from the entries as the top picks for that challenge. I am stoked! Thanks for letting me share my successes. I'll be back soon with more ideas for the upcoming new Catalog launch! Happy Holidays! Be blessed and be a blessing. Much love.

I'm thankful for you!

Happy Thanksgiving! I pray you have a great day whether you are spending it with family or friends or maybe you have to work like my son-in-law who is a police officer and will be working and my son and daughter in law who are nurses, we know about working on holidays. I pray for you a blessed day and a time to enjoy all the blessings you have around you. Thank you for taking the time weekly to visit me here. I really appreciate you stopping by and I love your comments.
I have a small piece of a project to share with you. I created this 5 x 7 piece as part of a wall hanging. I will have a sdesign for each season.
This is the fall one and I love the saying in the Painted Harvest set (144783). So today we will be gathering together and giving thanks.
I used the Painted Harvest sunflower on the background of Crushed Curry cardstock. The embellishments are thinlets from the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlets dies (144670) and the Seasonal Layer thinlets (143751). I love the little pieces of copper foil and the Painted Autumn Designer Series paper (144613).
Hope you like this one. I think it's a keeper! Short story today- I'm off to bake a sweet potato casserole and ice some awesome Thanksgiving Day cookies. Today count your blesings! I'm startaing with you.

Christmas is coming fast! STampin' Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! We had a great hop last month and Cheryl Schuessler is our blog candy winner.  If you came from Sue's blog , thanks for continuing on the hop.
Stay tuned for details on this months blog candy. Tuesday was my birthday! Tombo took me shopping , it was strange to hear the Christmas music playing. It was November 14th! But the reality is Christmas is coming fast! I hope you have already started on on all your Christmas projects, but just in case you need some last minute ideas you have come to the right place. I have jumped on the Merry Cafe and Coffee Train this month. If you have been on facebook or very many blogs recently you have seen the coffee candles! They are everywhere. What a great little gift for a teacher, office mate, neighbor or as a table gift for a ladies luncheon or an open house. The ideas are endless. Aren't these cute?
You basically make a square box 2"x 2"x 2" and add a back piece. Decorate with Designer Series paper, stamp a greeting and your done. The back piece is doubled for strength, but can be made to hold a gift card.

The card I made is a gate-fold card. It was one of the first cards I ever made and I think it was what captured my interest. Take a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock and score at 2 1/8" from each end. The DSP is 2" x 5 3/8" from the Be Merry Designer Series Paper in the annual catalog. For the belly band I used a 1" strip of Red Glimmer paper folded around the card with the cup from the Coffee Cafe framelits cut out of the same paper using the opposite side.
This card really is a quick one to make that looks like a WOW card.
I hope these projects have inspired you to create some great Christmas projects to share with your family friends and those you can bless at Christmas time. IMPORTANT-
We have blog candy this month, so be sure to comment on each blog with the #SFBlogHop2017. Tell the blogger what you love about their projects. Also be sure to leave your email so we can contact you if you win! Keep hopping because you are going to love Andrea Tracy-Tucker's projects! Have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by, please continue on the hop and Merry Christmas. Be blessed and have a great day.

Franken Artist and Big News!

Hey Star Stampers!  Very important- read to the end!!!Hope you are having a great week. Just returned from Salt Lake City Monday night late and yesterday was my birthday! It was a great day, but I have to share my birthday card from my dear Hubby, Tombo! So Tombo isn't really an accomplished stamper. He helps me and does really good on some things but, design and actual stamping- he still needs practice. So when he gave me his card I was blown away. It was really pretty good! I looked at it though thinking it kind of looked familiar, but not really. I know it wasn't one of my stash but something rang a bell. So where did this card come from? Tommy took several cards and card fronts from my swaps and pulled pieces off and created his own card. On the back he printed and placed a little tag - Cracked me up!
Okay, I will admit I didn't get it right away. He had to explain, like Frankenstein was put together from different pieces- so was this card. One of the things I love about this man, he has a different sense of humor!

Okay now for
the Big News. If you haven't heard(what cave are you in) Stampin' Up is launching the reserve period for a new product called the Stamparatus! I was fortunate to get to work on the L2L team for the past 2 + years to get to have input in the development of this new tool! And I will tell you, It is AWESOME! You are going to love it! So- You need to go to my website and set up an account if you don't already have one. Then tomorrow at 3 pm central time get online and reserve your
Stamparatus! It will not ship until February nor will you be billed until it ships. But you will be in the first group to get your hands on this great tool. There will be two more reserve windows if you don't get in on the first one. Don't miss out on this opportunity. Okay. Gotta run. Have a very blessed day and be a blessing to those around you.

Not my Style!

Good morning! Pulled the sweatshirts out last week, but needed the flip flops and shorts again this morning! Yep, you know you live in Alabama in the fall where it's in the 40's one morning the 70's the next! Today's card as indicated in the title is Not my usual style. I have continued to play with the new STampin' Blends this week. So the background for this card was a piece of Whisper White I was just practicing on blending and color combinations. I kind of like it thought. It is for a special person going through some rough times. More importantly, I think she'll like it. I love the "Just Breathe" stamp from Colorful Seasons stamp set.
I used the Marina Mist markers, light and dark, the Daffodil Delight light marker with a little light Calypso Coral at the top and more of the Marina Mist. The middle section is light Smokey Slate, I added black rhinestones to the dots for a little bling! Interesting! I think I'll need to keep practicing with this idea.
Here's the inside of this card. I just laid down some Smokey Slate and light Daffodil Delight and stamped one of the sayings from Beautiful you stamp set.
Well, that's all for today. Hope you have a wonderful Friday. Come back and visit again.
If you need an products check out my online store. If you have an opinion or question leave me a comment. Thanks and be blessed and bless others around you.

Paper Craft Crew #266- Do you love to color?

I have to confess I am late to the love of coloring trend. When I was young, I stayed with my grandparents all summer. It was awesome. My Aunt Sue was a first grade teacher and she loved to color. She was really an artist. She would buy me a awesome fancy color book and crayons or colored pencils. She really wanted me to sit and color with her. I didn't stay in the lines and my color choices, well, were less than desirable. Moving forward 50+ years, I have learned to enjoy coloring. My friend Cheryl loved to color, I learned from her how to relax and enjoy the practice. I'm still not great, but I do enjoy it a
lot more and I am better at staying inside the lines.
Have you looked at the Stampin' Blends yet? My project today was fun. I wanted to participate in the PCC#266 Card sketch challenge and show y'all some ideas using the Stampin' Blends. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. I used the light and dark markers in Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight to color the feathers on the Just add Color DSP. I then fussy cut some feathers for my focal image, added the Copper Trim(I love) and some gold metallic thread.(It should have been copper, couldn't find it for nothing!) & the saying is from the Ribbon of Courage set. I really did have a good time coloring and playing with the shading and blending. I love the artist quality of the markers. I definitely need more practice! Hope you enjoyed this project as much as I enjoyed creating it. If you need any supplies, please shoot me an email or hop on over to my online store. Thanks for stopping in today. Have a wonderful blessed day and be a blessing to someone in need.

Blends are here!

Good morning ladies. Anyone ready to color? Stampin up is releasing their new Stampin' Blends today. They are the new and improved alcohol markers we have all been waiting for in 12 popular Stampin' Up colors. You can see the Blends pamphlet here. A couple tips to remember:

  1. Blends are alcohol markers, so you need a water based ink pad like Memento Black (132708)
  2. Blends will bleed through- so protect your work surface.
  3. Stampin' Up's Thick Whisper White, Thick Very Vanilla and Shimmery White paper work best.
  4. It is very important you recap your markers as soon as you finish with one. Because they are alcohol based they will dry out quickly if left exposed to the air.
  5. Markers will work best with line images.
I will be sharing samples using the Blends this week- so keep coming back to see a new project. I am so excited for y'all to try these. They are really amazing markers. Have a great day. Be blessed and be a blessing to those in your path today. Today I am sending the 5 weeks project for the 12 weeks of Christmas. If you want to get it be sure you are on my mailing list. If you aren't on my list, click the Welcome to Stamping in Dixie page tab at the top of this post and you will see a sign up form. Just fill it out and submit. Thanks again. Later!

But I don't make cards....

Recently I was ask, "Do you make anything but cards"? Once I determined they didn't mean dinner or the bed, I answered with a  hardy "Yes Ma'am!" I do make a lot of cards because I like to send them. You have probably heard all the cute  sayings like, "A card is a hug with a fold in the middle" or " It's great to get Happy Mail". People like getting cards, but I like making other things also. This weekend on retreat I played with some left over pieces from my Paper Pumpkin subscription and made some really cute tags. Tags are great to have on hand. You can add them to a treat in a lunch box or for a gift. You can add them to a scrapbook page, or even a calendar page in your planner.

These are the ones I made with let over Paper Pumpkin embellishments and several others I created. I love to make personal gift tags for Christmas presents. Isn't the the tag I made for my downline gifts, I brought back from Thailand, the cutest? I think my downline liked them. The pizza box has a different kind of tag on it. I made the tag then added it to the belly band ribbon to hold the box closed. The other Christmas tags fit in the box. Nice little gift idea! So, I hope I have left you with some ideas, other than cards, you can create with your Stampin' Up! supplies. Another benefit of  making tags is it's a great way to use up all those small pieces of paper you just can't bear to throw away!

Thanks for stopping by. Please say Hi. That's it for today. Have a great, blessed day. Bless someone around you and you will be truely blessed.

WooHoo! Good Morning Fall!

Good morning and welcome back. Thank you all for stopping by on the blog hop and leaving comments. Makes a girls heart feel good! From my site Stacy Farris's name was selected my Random.org number generator. Yay Stacy! I will give your name to the other Bloggers and 1 name will be selected from all their entries also. Good luck!
I just returned from an amazing weekend  retreat with my stampin peeps at Lake Smith. We had an awesome time-  laughing, creating, relaxing and eating! Well, we do live in the South! Food and fellowship go hand and hand. Everyone worked on their own projects. We had scrapbook pages done! Go Kassie! I think her final total was like 30!!! Kim worked on a quilt, Kristi put together a Memories and more album by just inserting the cute Merry Little Christmas Memories and More card pack into the pocket pages.
And voila her Christmas album is ready to add those great Christmas pictures of her grandsons.
Scrapbooks are amazing creations. They share a part of our lives. They usually share happy occasions, but sometimes help us walk through difficult times, like an illness. They help to document our existence and give us the ability to share history with the younger generation. I have an album I did for my grandparents many years ago starting with their wedding picture and moving through their lives to the birth of their 6 great-grandchildren. It was the best gift I ever gave them. Well, maybe not counting their great-grandchildren!  If you'd like to see more,  you can check out the Memories and More collection in my online store here.
Well, again thank you for stopping by today. It's a cool fall morning and I'm in need of unpacking some sweaters! You would think after 50 something years I wouldn't be surprised when the temps go from 80 to 60 something overnight!
Have a great day. Be blessed and be a blessing to those around you. See you again real soon.

Getting unstuck.

Good morning friends! I hope today is going to be a great day for you. I am busy! Today I head up to Smith Lake with a group of my sweet customers, i.e. friends, for a weekend of scrapbooking, stamping and all kinds of fun. As usual, for all those who know and love me know, I am not ready! But getting there. So this will have to be short this morning.
I have had several incidents lately when I needed to come up with a project for something- a blog hop, a co-op project, a tutorial, a class and have felt stuck. Just no Mojo! Arrrgg, what to do. Well, my first go to solution especially for cards is a card sketch. I have a couple that are my favorite and if I start there I can usually end up with something I really like that may or may not like like the sketch, but gets my creative juices flowing. Here are some examples you have seen before.

These all started with the same sketch. It's a pretty easy one and I really like the outcome.

So here are the dimensions:
Cardbase is 4.25 x 5.5 closed,
First layer is 4 x 5.25,
DSP is 2 x 4, cardstock behind DSP is 2 1/4 x 4 1/4.
The top piece where I stamped the sayings varies greatly depending on your verbiage. The Thankful card is  colored CS 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 with the neutral piece being 2 x 3. The Christmas and Birthday ones are more square and on the fishy card I used a circle punch and banner. So you see these all started with the same idea but changed. Hope this tip is helpful when you are feeling stuck and can't find a place to start your next card. I'm off to the lake for some fun! Have a great weekend. God bless and I'll see ya soon!

October Stampin' Friends Blog Hop Give Thanks!

Good Morning and welcome to the October 2017 Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! Each of us is featuring cards and 3-D projects with a Thanksgiving or Thank You theme. If you just started the Hop be sure to keep going. You will find some amazing talent in this group. If you came from Kathie's blog, thank you for continuing. If you have visited my blog with any regularity, you know I love Thanksgiving! It is one of my favorite holidays. I love the colors, the decor, and
time with the family. It also doesn't seem as stressful as some other holidays.
So I often stick to simpler ideas during this time. This card uses one of my favorite sketches. It's simple and can be changed to look very different using the same layers.
The little wrapped candies I have made for each place setting at our Thanksgiving table.  Here is the card up close.
I used the Painted Autumn DSP which is still on sale until the end of October. This is the same card project I recently shared at the ESL class I taught. Another habit I have is leaving extra stuff on my desk. The two Soft Suede leaves are from this month's Paper Pumpkin! The piece of Burlap was literally a scrap laying on my table. Love it!
Here is a closer look at the candy wrappers. There are two different styles. Again using scraps on my desk, the one on the far left is a 2 x 6" piece of DSP scored at 3/4" from one end. I laid a Ghirardelli chocolate at the score and wrapped it up and adhered it with Fast Fuse on the 3/4" flap. The leaf branch on it is also a left over from Paper Pumpkin this month. There is a piece of copper trim tied around the top and the saying from the Painted Harvest Stamp set. The other two were made with a 4 x 4 piece of DSP. I used the envelope punch board and scored it at 2" on all four sides. Folded it around the chocolate square and adhered with a glue dot. Added some ribbon and a tag (left over from another project) and there you go! These are for the adults. The kids are getting pumpkin cookies I think, not Ghirardelli chocolate! There you go-easy! I hope you liked these and they might inspire you to create a cute table favor for your next family dinner. We can never be too thankful and we always have something to be thankful for! I would really appreciate a comment to let me know you were here and tell me something you have to be thankful for this year. Another thanks for joining us on the hop. See you again soon. Be Blessed. Don't forget to comment for your chance to win the great giveaway.

When life gives you scraps...

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a great day. We are finally enjoying some cooler weather this week. Yay! I wanted to share this really sweet card I created for my hostess clubs last month. I used the Christmas Quilt stamp set and Quilt builder framelits, but did the card in Fresh Fig and Lemon-Lime Twist. I have several quilters in my circle and knew they'd love this set. Just didn't want anyone to just think Christmas set. It is so much more. We stamped the white layer with the little cross-stitch in Lemon-Lime Twist. The quilt piece in the middle was stamped and cut out with the matching framelit, then adhered to the front panel and both were put through the Big Shot with the Oh my Stars embossing folder. I really wanted to use the Quilt Top textured embossing folder. I was certain I had ordered it-but could find it nowhere!!! So, I guess it will go on my next order.

You really can't tell it from the picture but it looks really cool when you add the quilt piece on top then run them through together. Can you see the small knot of White Bakers twine in the middle of the quilt medallion? The ribbon across the bottom is the new Black Shimmer ribbon. I love the little shine it has to it. And the tiny spool and needle framelits are just precious. This is going to be a great bundle. Who doesn't love a quilt? If ytou'd like any of these supplies, just click the link to my online store. Hope you like this card as much as I liked creating it. If you have any questions just leave me a comment. Hope you have a great day and be blessed and be a blessing.

Cookie Embellishment.

Good morning! Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I love Sunday morning. We always listen to great Christian music while getting ready for church, sometimes the old favorite hymns we grew up with and sometimes the new praise and worship songs we have grown to love. And we sing! Not so great, but we definitely make a joyful noise!  Yesterday, I promised to show you some embellishments for cookies. I probably should have said the packaging of cookies. I love all the great products  Stampin' Up! has given us to do gift packaging.
Here are three different ways I packaged some of my pumpkin cookies to give as gifts. What a great little gift! I used the pizza box, a gusseted bag and one of the acetate boxes I cut in half. The simplest is the bag with a cookie and gift tag. I punched the top end with the  scalloped tag topper punch (133324) and banner cut the opposite end. The Trick or Treat  tag was made using the Everyday labels punch (144668). I used DSP from the Spooky Night pack (144610) and the Painted Autumn pack (144613). Both of these packs are included in the DSP special Stampin' Up is having all month. Buy three packs of DSP and Get 1 pack free. Here is a close up of the acetate box. I simple cut it in half and added DSP. Mine was just a tad short of 3". My DSP is about 4 3/4" x 4 1/4". I did score the DSP at 3" and 3 3/4". There is a belly band running vertically. Cute!
The last project is the pizza box (144645). I covered it with DSP on top and all four sides. The belly band here is running horizontally and holds 1/2 of a gold foil snowflake (144642) topped with a 2" circle of DSP and pumpkins and leaves  from the Patterned Pumpkin thinlets (144670). The pizza box is actually big enough to hold 2 cookies! They are glossy on the inside and food save, but I did place the cookie in a bag to keep it fresh until I deliver this  little prize!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you liked these projects and they will inspire you to create some cute packages for the holidays.  If you need dany supplies you can get them at my online store As always, be blessed and be a blessing to those around you in this you will be truely blessed.

Today is National Dessert Day!

Hello Stampers and Friends. Yesterday was a bust! I was challenged to blog everyday for the whole month of October. I was on a roll and doing great. Thursday evening my daughter and grandson were in a wreck! Blew my schedule to pieces. I didn't get the pictures ready I wanted to post and just didn't have the energy to get it done. But they are fine and I'm picking back up today and getting back on board.
So did you know it was National Dessert Day? I love finding all these obscure "holidays"! I guess we all love a celebration, any excuse to have a party! I love to bake and I love dessert. I have many favorites. Recently I attended Cookie School in Bonaire, Ga. Michelle Gowan, the Cookie professor is amazing.  You can find her blog, Cookie Crumbs, here and she has great videos on You Tube decorating her cookies that taste amazing! Wait, you say- this a blog about stamping. Well you are correct, but all things creative can be embellished with stamps! Here is my class picture and my homework. We were assigned to do and give away three

batches of cookies
before we could come back for Grad school. So tomorrow I'll be back with part 2- the embellishment of cookies! Thanks for stopping by. Please come back and leave me a comment so I know you were here. Be blessed and be a blessing to someone around you.

Stinkin' Big Day!!!

Today is a really BIG day for me. I joined the Chamber of Commerce in my town recently and they are holding an official ribbon cutting for Stamping in Dixie today at the Chamber office. I am so excited. I'll take pictures and post tomorrow.
Today I have been working non-stop on projects to display. I want to show off all the great projects Stampin' Up offers, so I've been working on Paper Pumpkin projects. This month was a great month for Paper Pumpkin.

This photo shows the projects using  the instructions provided. Then I worked on some "do your own thing" projects. I love how much material is included in each kit. There is always left overs to play with and use on other projects. But I think one of the best things about Paper Pumpkin is the stamp sets.  Absolutely love these two sayings. I will be able to use these on lots of projects.
I used one of the 3 x 3 card bases cut it in half and added it as a layer on a full size card. I really like this one. I love this Be filled with thanks each day stamp. What a great stamp!

Then I started to play with the pillow boxes. These were a lot of fun. One I cut an oval out of the top flap with the layering ovals thinlets to create a kind of purse or bag look. I just played with all the leaves and tags, I added some of the mini sequin trim! Love it! I know the recipients of these will love them. Did you know once you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you can order extra kit refills while supplies last? This is another great benefit of getting a monthly subscription to Paper Pumpkin. Well, that's all for today. If you'd like to give Paper Pumpkin a try you can just click the link. I'd love it if you'd choose me as your demonstrator (if you don't already have one). Come back tomorrow to see pictures of the ribbon cutting and some other cute projects. Now, Be blessed and be a blessing to someone around you today. HAVE A GREAT DAY.

Paper Pumpkin

Good morning! Working on Paper Pumpkin projects today. I really do enjoy this little surprise in the mail. Some months I really love the projects and some months they aren't my taste, but I can always think of someone else who would like this card or project. Paper Pumpkin has some great benefits:
September 2017

  1. The projects are designed so anyone can do them,
  2. There is always extra material left over I can use on other projects or add just a little extra to these,
  3. It is kind of a fun challenge to take what's in the box and see what I can create myself with these same elements,
  4. and finally most months we have the opportunity to buy extra kit refills. This is great if it's a kit I really love, I can get more of them. Just visit www.paperpumpkin.com to check out which kits are still available.
So, I'm off today to work on some creating with Paper Pumpkin. I'll be sure to share my projects later this week or month. Thanks for stopping by today. If you'd like to try Paper Pumpkin for a month just use the link about to sign up. You can do so on a month to month or with pre-paid subscriptions- 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. I'd really appreicate it if you don't have a demonstrator that you would select me. Thanks again. Have a great day. Be blessed! and Be a blessing to those around you. You know just a smile can brighten someones day-just think what a personal handmade card might do?

My calender!

Do you realize it's 11 weeks til Christmas? I don't know about you but my calendar is filling up fast. This week it's dinner with friends, Stamping in Dixie's ribbon cutting at the Chamber of Commerce! WooHOO super excited about this!!! Also, a Sunday School fellowship on Friday. My annual fall retreat is the next weekend at beautiful Smith Lake in Arley, Alabama. If you didn't decide to go this year, make plans for next year. It's always a lot of fun. And finally the Sassy Stampers and Crazy Crafters hostess clubs meet the last Saturday of each month. Phew! I'm tired and that doesn't include all the little things that pop up constantly.
So What's important today?
Today is the last day of the WCMD sale, and the last day to sign up for the Paper Pumpkin for October and get the coordinating sets for October and November.

Since , I'm talking about calendars- Have you looked at the new planner Stampin' Up! has in the annual catalog? Love it. Can't wait to start using it for next year. I already had a planner for this year. Paid way to much for it and really haven't loved it. I'm excited about this one and you can purchase refills!!! Okay, gotta go. Have a great day and be blessed and be a blessing. Thanks for stopping by-don't forget to say Hi!

Happy Columbus Day!

Hope you are having a blessed day, maybe you have the day off for the holiday and are getting to relax. Or maybe get much needed projects done. I spent the morning with Lee-lee and the grand kids before Aunt Lee had to return to North Carolina. We all miss her, but it was a great visit and she got to spend time with all the family. We will see her again in December for the first family vacation/cruise. All 14 of us are doing a cruise for the holidays. I'm praying for a fabulous time for all of us from my mom at 83 to the youngest grandson, Barrett,
at almost 3.
So, I was trying to think of what kind of card should I share today? The only thing I can come up are these. I love the High Tide stamp set with the lighthouse. I'm guessing Christopher Columbus would have liked a lighthouse to guide his way, but then history would have been very different. So, today we have had a dreary rainy day. I'm hoping for sunny skies tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by today. I know I posted later that usual but, it was a busy morning. I'll be back tomorrow. If you'd like instructions for these cards, leave me a comment. Thanks. Be blessed today and bless someone else around you. Be kind, tender-hearted, forgetting each other- just like our Heavenly Father in Christ has forgiven us. (that's my paraphrase of Ephesians 4:32)

More storms!

I for one will be happy when this hurricane season is over! We are preparing for yet another storm to move through today. Being so far inland you wouldn't think we had to worry much but it seems like every storm lately has wanted to dump a load of rain on us. So, we are home, no church today do to bad weather and city officials want everyone to stay home.
So, I decided to do a challenge for myself this month. I started October 1st and have been mailing a card or package to someone everyday! Today's the 8th day and it's Sunday, since the mail doesn't run on Sunday, I mailed 2 cards yesterday. I happened to hear of a little boy who is in the hospital. Halloween is his favorite holiday, so I mailed him Halloween card. Cadie and Cooper got wind of this and decided they wanted to send him a card also. So technically I mailed one and they sent one. But I'm taking credit for both. There! As you can see in this photo, I love to stamp on my envelopes. It just lets the recipient of the mail know it's happy mail!!!! I figure the mail carrier gets to enjoy it also. So now I challenge you- if you have a stack of unused cards- what are you waiting for? Mail them! I truly believe getting a happy card in the mail, or a sympathy card is like a hug from someone who took the time to show they care. I hope AI can get you some creative inspiration for your paper crafting and if you have any questions or need any product, just shoot me an email or leave a comment below. Thanks. Blessing from Alabama.
